Thanks for the words of support regarding New Yorkers! Times Square has never been a destination for New Yorkers unless they are taking the subway (it’s a major subway hub) or going to a restaurant or Broadway show in the neighborhood. Personally, I liked it in its old “Midnight Cowboy” days.
I remember it from the pre-Midnight Cowboy days, before the theaters on 42nd street turned to porn, and a kid could spend a drizzly Saturday going from one cheap B movie to another.
