Barney was a good hearted if sometimes misguided man.

With sarc off, that’s an insult to Barney! That character never lied, never cheated and had a conscience. Barney Fife was a patriot and did well by his fellow man. Another reason not to like Pawlenty.

Excuse me, but Barney Fife was NOT a "do-nothing" deputy. He was always ready to spring into action.

Whenever there was trouble, he was ready to nip it.
Nip! It! In! The! Bud! I tell you.

He might not have been very effective, but he could pull a bullet out of his pocket very quickly.

...Now, I will say, Donna put out some really good cookies. So -- (laughter) -- I'm just saying. (Laughter.) All right.

...Baked especially for him, because they're banned from the lunch menu, peas and carrots for the serfs.

Re: Former GOP presidential aspirant, Governor Tim Pawlenty, on Wednesday took up my call from last week of the president as Mr. Chicken, calling Obama the “Barney Fife of presidents.”

Obama is not me... he is Otis, plain and simple! Drunk with power and sponging off the county dime for a place to sleep it off--

Now, Tim, keep up comparing Obama to me... and I'll have to fire my one bullet up where the sun don't shine!
