"He told the New Hampshire Union Leader that in about 70 text messages she sent him between Oct. 22 and Nov. 18, she was "asking for financial assistance."
This was a set up. That woman set him up so they could take him down

If I was giving any non-family woman I knew financial help, my wife would know all about it. I’d be discussing it with her. Why not tell the wife about it if it’s on the up and up?
It strikes me odd. Not everyone operates like me but I think my viewpoint on it is pretty much the norm.

“Just Friends”. Hyeah... right.
Tell you what, Mrs. Tick would have Tick Junior stuffed, mounted, and hanging on her (formerly our) mantel if I pulled *that* trick on her. No way would she fall for that “friends” stuff, especially if I kept it a secret from her.
We’ll see what Mrs. Cain is made of.

Cain has blown his opportunity. None of these allegations are important except for his steadfast denials. He should have just indicated that he made mistakes or misunderstandings in each case. He could have moved on without going to war in each case. The idea that he gave this woman money over the years just as a good soul does not pass the laugh test. I do not care if he did have an affair. I do not like dishonesty however.

If Adultery mattered with conservatives Newt would not be up in the “polls.” If Amnesty mattered with conservatives Newt would be down with the claimed “polls” of Perry. If Corp Cronyism mattered Newt would be down in the polls. I refuse to believe so-called polls that go against common sense. The fact is they are forcing otherwise good people to not vote for who they want because they are being lied to about who is doing well and can get elected.

I’m going out on a limb here, but I just don’t think he can hang onto that 9% in the polls....
Maybe I’m wrong.... we shall see.

Not good.
Now...for all of those who are vigorous defenders of Mr.Cain, and say,"This doesn't prove anything",you are quite wrong.
Think about it a moment.
You are a nice,compassionate,"soft-hearted" person. You help people all the time. These people normally would come forward to say "thanks" at some point, right? A phone call here,a thank-you card there....many,if not all of which, your spouse would notice at some point, particularly being a public or prominent figure, whether in the business or political world...
But, text messages at four in the morning...knowing someone for 13 years, someone of the opposite sex,and you have been "helping" this person for all of those years, without your spouse knowing about it-or you bothering to mention it to her/him at any time during that period of time...This doesn't strike a chord of suspicion with you?
Sorry but no dice. I think Cain got busted,he hasn't defended himself in a distinct, timely or definitive manner, and he is done. Were I his wife, the marriage could not survive. If he could pull off this kind of deception with the woman he swore to God to be faithful to for 13 years, you couldn't put anything past him. And although he's not married to me,and doesn't owe me anything,he is running for POTUS,supposedly to do a better job than the Marxist that's in there now.But that's based on a promise, and by voting for him, i'm putting my full faith and support behind him. I can't do that for someone I can't trust.

Herman Cain acknowledged Thursday that he repeatedly gave Ginger White money to help her with "month-to-month bills and expenses" without telling his wife. In fact, the embattled presidential candidate said, his wife, Gloria, "did not know that we were friends until she (White) came out with this story."
It does not matter WHAT the relationship was, Cain is done with this revelation.
Game over!

This sinks him. He is done. The one thing that could have saved him is that his wife knew he was supporting that woman financially.
Some people never learn.
