I used to watch Fox news pretty much constantly, or least it was on the TV playing as background music. Now I never turn it on. Same old rotating cast of talking heads screaming about the same things night after night after night. Quite frankly I got bored with it.

I turn on FOX and friends in the morning mostly for background noise but I’m tuning even that out more and more.

We had it on 2-3 hrs a day for a long time. Since summer, hardly at all. Doubt if it’s been on at all for the past 2 months. Better variety and info on the web. I read FR while we watch HGTV and old sitcom reruns.

I think there is merit to the fact that we aren’t in an election year and thus, ratings naturally will go down for Fox. Having said that, I’m bored by a lot of what they have on too. Its not really that in-depth. And I think cable news is dying anyway. There is a comment under the story that “anyone under the age of senile gets their news from the internet.” That is true no matter how conservative a network is.

1. It stopped having news
2. It hired a ton of liberal operatives
3. On big news events, it is the slowest to the story

A lot of the new hotness they hired isn’t as smart or as conservative as the old hotness. Patty Ann Brown is mostly missing in action.
