Johnson will now enjoy the support of such conservative stalwarts as Michael Barone, David Brooks, and Michael Potemra—not to mention several key legislators in New York state. That should take him right to the top of the pack.

“More government? Leave marriage to the churches.”
Yes, it’s ironic that a libertarian like Johnson would take a position requiring more government meddling in private decisions, rather than less.

And the perverts will start their own fake church to officiate over their fake marriages. (Didn't see that one coming, huh?)
Nope, no need for more government. The people's marriage laws have done just fine for hundreds of years - and will continue to do so if we can get the government to stop screwing them up.

OhhhhhHHHH!
Gary Johnson!?????
Good Grief. There isn’t any irrational reason why he doesn’t register on any poll.
He’s just plain vanilla and a Team Captain for Homo America.
Not that there’s anything wrong with being gay. I couldn’t care less but, Eff that Co-Opting Marriage Crap to attain some weird image of equality that is nothing short of smoke and mirrors and a synthetic ..... aw whatever.
Here is your Wide Stance “Johnson”:
GOP Presidential Candidate announces support of gay marriage
Johnsons decision to endorse gay marriage is based on a great deal of deliberation, discussion with the gay community, and a conclusion that government has no business choosing who should be allowed the benefits of marriage and who should not.
“I simply cannot find a legitimate justification for federal laws, such as the Defense of Marriage Act, which define marriage. That definition should be left to religions and individuals not government.”
I agree but, how does supporting Gay “synthetic” Marriage advance that ideal?
You cannot give them the word Marriage without invoking Fahrenheit 451 of all literature that previously defined marriage culturally or Biblically.
Gary is using a digger where there ain’t no dirt.
