Having to explain a phrase every time it’s used is a good sign it’s a lousy phrase.

You beat me to it. "Jumped the shark" really is one of the most annoying phrases to come along in decades.

I don’t mind the phrase itself.
It’s that we have to hear the same blasted Fonzie story EVERY TIME.
