More than 1,000 pages of frenzied email exchanges were fired back and forth among Justice Department officials, as they weighed how to respond to initial inquires about the gunwalker scandal. Today, the agency turned over those subpoenaed records to Congress in advance of a hearing next week with Attorney General Eric Holder.
The emails are marked by intra-office disagreement over how vigorously to defend the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and Explosives (ATF)....

Many years ago, there was a syndicated radio talk show host out of FL named Chuck Harder, and he had a show called "For the People." One of the most frightening things I ever heard was a clip of an interview someone did with a "journalism" student. When asked why she was going into journalism, her answer was "to make the world a better place." It scared the hell out of me. Not to "keep the government honest" or "keep people from being ripped off," but to "spread the word" to the masses.

Democratic California Sen. Dianne Feinstein told a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing that lax gun control laws, not Obama administration malfeasance within the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATF), was the real problem uncovered by Operation Fast and Furious.
“My concern, Mr. Chairman, is there’s been a lot said about Fast and Furious, and perhaps mistakes were made, but I think this hunt for blame doesn’t really speak about the problem,” Feinstein said during the Tuesday hearing. “And the problem is, anybody can walk in and buy anything, .50-caliber weapons, sniper weapons, buy them in large amounts, and send them down to Mexico. So, the question really becomes, what do we do about this?”

Exactly what Obama/Holder were trying to "prove" by making it possible for anyone to buy weapons in large numbers and ship them to Mexico. Dianne can be relied upon to carry the Leftist water and make Reid/Pelosi type statements with the same straight face.

Obama is notorious for throwing people under the bus if they become a political liability.
Question why has he not thrown Holder under the bus?
The answer is very simple. Obama had to be aware of the Fast and Furious gun running operation. If he throws Holder under the bus, Holder will take him down with him. There is absolutely no other explanation for this. If the operation orginated and was planned at a level below Holder, he would have arrested and prosecuted those in the ATF that did this. He can not do this as the problem goes all the way to the top.
