I just read in Wikipedia that Paul was a Flight Surgeon in the Air Force and the US Air National Guard
As a war vet myself I honor Paul’s service.
“Flight Surgeon” = physician assigned to a unit that has aircraft
It does not normally mean a guy who performs surgery while flying or even for a flying unit. In fact it rarely means that.

Don’t know how they fit a Flight Surgeon in those bi-planes but guess anything’s possible. :-)
Really, I admire his service as I do anyone who served. A few years in the service of our country makes any person a better citizen.
