"Yesterday the Boston Public Health Commission voted to ban the use of electronic cigarettes in workplaces, including outdoor areas such as restaurant patios. It says it is simply “clos[ing] a loophole” by “treat[ing] e-cigarettes like tobacco products.” But since e-cigarettes do not contain any tobacco and do not generate smoke (merely a propylene glycol vapor containing nicotine), that is a puzzling way to characterize the decision. The official justification for banning smoking in workplaces is protecting employees and other bystanders from the toxins and carcinogens generated when tobacco is burned. Let’s leave aside the questions of how dangerous secondhand smoke really is and whether the government has any business regulating it on private property. In the absence of evidence that e-cigarettes are a hazard to other people, what possible justification is there for treating them the same as conventional cigarettes? I mean, they look like cigarettes, but surely that superficial resemblance is not enough for a scientifically grounded agency like the Boston Public Health Commission."

Regulation for the sake of regulation has been the progressives’ stock in trade for nearly a hundred years. This is another example of attempts to regulate behavior without any foundation in simple logic.

Well, there is a solution for that which involves free men doing as they see fit, and zero coercion, governmental or otherwise.
If a kid can be suspended for drawing a picture of a gun, all other bests are off.
I fear we may either be fighting another Civil War, or end up so subjugated that lobotomies would be a blessing.
The facts are here if you're interested. The Texas Legislature had placed control with the office of governor over parental approval of vaccines. If you'll read the link I've provided, you will understand the EO was done to not only make it easier for parents to help pay for these cervical cancer vaccines but also to make it easier for them to opt out (of all vaccines if they so chose).
I quit smoking three weeks ago and I vowed to never become one of those ‘smoking nazis’ that so many previous smokers become. (I also promised myself that I’d take up a two-pack-a-day habit on my 65th birthday)
There is NO reason to ban an e-cigarette. What’s really horrible is that a lot of people are successfully using e-cigarettes to quit.

I have heard this for years and it appears to be true because many smoking nazis are former smokers.

I quit years ago when they were $1.50 a pack. Plastic straws were a big help. Health aside, be motivated by all that money you’ll be saving. Hang in there. You can do it!

I cold-turkeyed 8 years ago. 3 packs of full flavored Winston 100's /day. I just kept counting all that money I wasn't spending on smokes. And that's when they were under $3!!!
I bought a new truck with the money per month I was saving.
