I’d like to see less, not more from Harvard and Yale making decisions, doing policy and influencing government. That’s been the problem in the USA. We’re run by a club not as a democracy. The USA is a big country with millions of competent people, and at the center of it should not be the northeast or New England and the self serving Ivy league.

I’d like to believe that a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, Haravd, Yale, etc actually had standards (exempted, of course, for those whose parents had lost of money).
I’m afraid that the standards are now gone. The Cretin-in-Chief is example one.
So, unless the grad of those extinguished institutions has “Engineering, a basic Science, or Math” on the degree, it’s as valuable as a CNBC news broadcast.
