Herman Cain out but not down; tells OKC audience he's not shutting up

OKLAHOMA CITY – Despite “suspending” his presidential campaign over the weekend in the wake of multiple allegations of sexual impropriety and marital infidelity, conservative businessman Herman Cain still held his pre-scheduled speaking engagement at the Marriott hotel for the Oklahoma Republican Party.

Oklahoma GOP Chairman Pinnell introduced Cain by noting that Cain brought a lot to the Republican race and that tonight’s occasion was “joyous” and that this “Victory Rally” is part of making “Obama a one-term president.”

As Cain entered, he was greeted with cheers and a standing ovation. He would later note that after he dropped out, he called up Pinnell to make sure they still wanted him to come to Oklahoma City. Pinnell assured Cain that they still wanted him to visit. Cain said that he always fulfills his commitments.

He also said that the American people would be hearing a lot more from him in coming weeks and months as he reassesses his plans.

“Contrary to what some people think, they’re not going to shut me up,” thundered a defiant Cain.

I think Mr Cain should hire some junk yard lawyers and investigators and go after the smear machine. I think the best service he can do the Republic in the short term is politically destroy the people behind this smear attack on him.

Shut Me Up? Sounds like a good title for a book which will sell for $9.99.

Maybe Cain and Palin can go cross the country hosting "Town Hall's", moderate Republican debates and interviews...asking questions submitted by conservatives.

Even if NO cable or networks picked these events up (which, ultimately, they would) online viewership would be tremendous.

It would certainly gain the LSM's attention.

Yeah, but the press will ignore him.

This has been engineered to give us Romney. The “machine” will live with Gingrich if necessary, but they prefer Romney.

Each are RINOs to the core. Anyone trusting them for anything, well, I’ve got this bridge ... And given how some here (only a few) jump on the RINO bandwagon so readily, well ... it seems the GOP elite know what they are doing. “C’mon little sheep ... do what we tell you. Look ... a boogyman is in the WH!”

And the game keeps rolling and we are it’s pawns.

No RINO ... NO way.

Cain needs to use Lin Wood and his other lawyers to sue those lying #**&*#*&# demoncrat women for all they’ve got, then find those who paid them to lie and sue them too.

Do you feel certain that there was no hanky-panky between Mr. Cain and Ginger White?

Far from being certain there was not, I think it likely that there was.

I think Mr. Cain probably got out because his own behavior made it impossible for him to stay in.

I agree. He claimed to be honorable and courageous and then didn't back it up.

"NEWS FLASH!"

I don't know how to start a post so I thought I would post this here.

This is an mp3 of a caller on the Roger Hedgecock radio show Dec. 5, who was Chairman of the Board at the NRA. He was the one who hired Herman Cain!! He tells us he tried to get the truth out to the media but they weren't interested. And he said that one woman who claimed that Herman Cain had felt her up, had hit on this guy the very first day he was on the job! And he said that she had left the company before he even hired Herman Cain! So that proves Herman Cain was innocent! Remember? Herman Cain kept saying he didn't even know the woman!!!

First you have to listen to some guy spouting off for obama but after that caller at somewhere around the 13 min mark Herman Cain's old boss calls in.

Just right click on it and click open link in a new tab and it should play.

No, I’m not certain of it at all.

My rather cynical interest in this stems from the obvious double-standard in the media. Democrats commit “hanky-panky” all the time. Sometimes we hear about it; sometimes we don’t. But if a Republican is involved, every rock is overturned until someone is found who can make even an allegation. Women don’t pop up on their own. I’d just like to know who turned over the rocks—someone from the GOP, or the Obama-Axelrod White House?

The media is mostly biased against conservatives, and pretty much all leftists are hypocritical, lying scum.

That’s a given.

But we conservatives have standards and I believe that Mr. Cain chose to run even though his past behavior did not meet the minimum standards we have for our candidates.

This is on Mr. Cain, not on the media.

I think Mr. Cain got out of the race because he knew full well that Ginger White had some proof. He could deny the sexual harrassment allegations, but I don’t think he could deny the affair. Sadly.

If a man as confident as Herman Cain were completely innocent, he would have relished staying in this race, with the assurance that he had nothing to hide.
