Jon Corzine is above the law
The Washington Times ^ | Thursday December 1, 2011 | Eric Golub

Yet unlike Jerry Sandusky, Jon Corzine will never be held accountable for his misdeeds. Jon Corzine is above the law.

For those horrified at the comparison between these two vile men, it is not offered lightly.

Most people of all political stripes agree that Jerry Sandusky should burn in a fiery pit of hell. Even people who are against torture would consider making him an exception. The former Penn State football coach sexually violated underage boys. The word "evil" is tossed around cavalierly, but Sandusky's actions fit the bill.

Excellent piece. And sadly, I agree: nothing will happen to this well-connected crook.

Yep. And I will put a case a beer he gets a general pardon in the last days of the obama administration...

The second reason Jon Corzine is above the law is his political ideology. Jon Corzine is a liberal. Actually, he is a leftist, with views every bit as far left as Socialist Bernie Sanders. He is a “progressive,” which automatically carries with it the aura of being noble, virtuous, and caring. As with most leftists, results are irrelevant. Intentions are all that matters. More than one liberal columnist pointed out that Jon Corzine favors single-payer healthcare, gay marriage, abortion on demand, and cap-and-trade legislation. In other words, he is a saint. In the same way good deeds by conservatives are ignored simply because they are conservatives, all bad behavior by liberals can be washed away by simply being liberal.

This is why Occupy Wall Street protesters will not utter his name, despite his being the very essence of the greed and corruption that movement claims to care about.

This is why Barack Obama and Joe Biden will not demand he be investigated. They bragged about consulting him for financial advice during the 2008 crisis. They loudly campaigned for him for Governor. Once that failed, he was rumored to be the next Treasury Secretary. Mr. Corzine is Mr. Obama’s ideological soulmate.

No, Corzine is a common criminal. The liberal left are no more than crooks using Marxism as a way to subdue and desensitize the citizenry.

While they use the useful idiots to create a distraction, they rob the treasury blind. And they turn the justice department on its head so there can be no investigations. A good example of that was the AG’s under Bush being told to resign for 8 years. They could not investigate anything. Now with Holder, he is too incompetent to investigate anything.

It’s more than that. Liberalism is a religion. It has all the earmarks, including the negative ones. Forgiveness for one’s ‘sins’ past, present & even one’s not yet committed (think of the medieval practice of selling ‘indulgences’). As long as you profess your faith often you will be ‘forgiven’. Stray from the orthodoxy and they’ll burn you at the stake as a heretic.

Working for the Golden Sacks has been a carte blanche of immunity for crimes for a long long time.

Corzine looks like “Meathead”, from All in the Family. That is not a crime. However, his actual crimes will probably go unpunished as this great article tells us so well. I don't think that even Corzine can hope for a Dem nomination, that would be like nominating a man who is not eligible to serve as President..

Oh? Really? Never mind.

During Enron, all we heard was Bush, Bush, Bush, Enron, Enron, Enron. When all was said and done ALL of the Enron execs went to jail. When obama took office, no one related to the entire financial industry collapse was brought to justice. Instead, they got government appointments.

In 2002, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) became law in the wake of and in reaction to the Enron, WorldCom and other financial disasters. It added significant requirements to corporate executives (in this act called "signing officers"),

This is a synopsis of one of the Title III sections in this act; "• The signing officers are responsible for internal controls and have evaluated these internal controls within the previous ninety days and have reported on their findings."

The commingling and misuse of customer funds is a total violation of custodial and fiscal responsibility. For any corporation to have permitted such action indicates complete failure of internal controls.

CEO Jon S Corzine was just such a "signing officer" and should be federally prosecuted for just such a violation at the very least.

According to several news articles related to SOX, then Senator Jon S Corzine worked with Senators Christopher Dodd and Richard Durbin, to help Senator Paul Sarbanes 'fix' this corporate failure so that management could not (in the future) defraud shareholders and customers.

Gee, you mean to say that Senator/Governor/MF Global CEO Corzine may have violated regulations that he help institute? What a fine recommendation for Dodd-Frank that is much bigger and 'better'!
