Today is the 70th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. over 2000 died - including 1177 sailors on the Arizona.

God Bless and protect America as we face new enemies - both without and within.

Not many vets left that were involved in the jap attack on Pearl. If you were 17 years old at the time, you would be 87 right now. Many were seasoned vets in their 30s which would put them at 100 years old. Lots of WWII vets fading away. God Bless them for serving this country. Wish we had a CIC that had the balls to do what they did back them to win no matter what the collateral. Harry Truman did the right thing.

My dad was a WWII vet. 760th FA BN. His division was slated to go into Japan if the invasion went forward. Thank goodness Truman made the call that he did. It saved my dad and many more who would have died.

I’m glad my dad isn’t around to see the treasonous, traitorous America-hating jerk occupying the White House!

Good Mornin'!

You GO Jim! Busting on the RIDICULOUS HOV lanes! All built on a hoax and deadly!

Dittos on the 70th anniversary of Peal Harbor. God bless our military and a huge Thank You for their service and sacrifice! BTW I'd in the light of BIL and his medical problems as well as just finding out that another brother's wife is in the hospital today having a cancer removed from her mouth (she didn't tell anyone), I'd like to pass along some good news.

Oldest son last week left his job at Target. Apparently even though the money was good he wasn't happy about a few things including them wanting to transfer him to places he didn't want to go as well as changing his hours a lot.

Long story short is that he already has a new and much better job at Pittsburgh International Airport. He was hired Monday and goes today to finish paperwork and TSA clearance and a few other minor things.

He is really happy! He'll be working mostly at the landside but he gets better pay and hours. The downside is it's a bit more travel but even so it looks like a good move.

More prayers answered!

Good for your son! A family friend works at the Pgh Airport. He’s been there for years. Best of luck to your son!

Prayers for continued recovery of your BIL and I hope your SIL’s surgery is successful. OMG! Cancer in the mouth!

My fellow Americans, the British, Chinese and United States governments have given the Japanese people adequate warning of what is in store for them. The world will note that the first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, a military base. If Japan does not surrender, bombs will have to be dropped on her war industries and unfortunately thousands of civilian lives will be lost. I urge Japanese civilians to leave industrial cities immediately and save themselves.

President Harry S. Truman

Thanks for the post on Pearl Harbor.

I haven’t heard a single thing in the news today about it. It’s almost as if we’ve chosen to forget.

Thank you for that Evil Slayer. Japan received fair warning. It was the fault of their emperor that the second bomb was dropped. Yamamoto knew, after Pearl Harbor, that it would not be good: “I fear we have awakened a sleeping giant”.

There was a Pear Harbor marathon on the Military channel last night. I could only watch one show. I hope to see more about it tonight. Did you see the ‘bing’ site? It’s a pic of the Arizona Memorial.
