Jerry Sandusky has been taken out of his home in handcuffs by the Centre County District Attorney's office to face two new criminal charges of child sex abuse.
"Today's criminal charges were recommended by a statewide investigating grand jury, based on evidence and testimony that was received following the initial arrest of Sandusky on November 5th," Attorney General Kelly said in a statement.
Sandusky is scheduled to appear in court next Tuesday, December 13, for his preliminary he

There is no question in my mind that his wife knew. Just like the other coach.
They should be prosecuted too if it ever could be proved.
His wife had to know something. If it were all on the up and up, she would’ve been down to visit the boy(s) in the basement either alone or with Jerry. She chose not to go down there when her conscience had to be telling her not to ignore these boys. She was the grand enabler. It’s disgustingly sick.
Wife knew and should be next. I think all of their kids were adopted.
I hope they get her next. The boys were being fed in the basement by Sandusky while everyone else ate upstairs.
I agree that his wife should be prosecuted. She is an accomplice to the assaults that happened at the their house. She hears screams from the basement and does nothing? What a sicko. Also, when they travelled out of town to bowl games together, did the wife get a separate room or what? She knew. There is just no way she didn’t know.
His home? The one that has an elementary school next to it?
she’ll just say she thought they were playful screeches that you hear during typical “horseplay”
She was probably so accustomed to hearing it - it didn’t phase her.
I’m sure she would, but as a juror, I would think, since when do the screams from a boy being anally raped sound anything like the screams he lets out while engaging in
“horseplay.” I’d say just admitting that she heard the screams would be the same as an admission of being an accomplice.
The sight of Jerry Sandusky repulses me, btw. I can’t believe that these mothers let him have the free access to these boys that they did. I would have told that creepy old man to stay the hell away from my sons. Just the idea of him wanting to spend time alone with them would have completely creeped me out.
Seriously, a 67 year-old man having slumber parties in his basement with random boys? On what planet is that even remotely normal?
Btw, I am more convinced than ever that Michael Jackson was a pedophile too. Sandusky and him fit the exact same profile.
Me, too. It's so horrible to think about what it may have been like for each of these kids.
There's something I've been wondering about, and maybe someone else here knows. We know that all of their children were adopted.
"Over the years the couple became the parents to Ray, now 46, a businessman living in Nashville, EJ, 41, former Nittany Lions player, and now a football coach at West Chester University, Kara, 38, a Penn State graduate, Jeff, 35, a former Marine, and 33-year-olds Matt, a Penn State graduate and Jon, who is Director of Player Personnel for the Cleveland Browns."

Apparently, Jerry and Dottie were married in 1966. Jerry is currently 67 and Dottie is 68. They would have been 21 and 22 at the time of their wedding. Their oldest is Ray, who is 46. He would have been born around 1965. It is said that 3 of the children were adopted as infants, so I am presuming he is one of those.
Jerry and Dottie were said to have adopted children because they couldn't have any of their own. Age 22 or 23 seems pretty young to me to determine that you "can't" have children after only a year of marriage. I'm speculating that Jerry was in a sham marriage with Dottie, because they adopted so early in their married lives.
Surely Dottie knows much more than she has let on. It's been staring her in the face for roughly 45 years.
That's an excellent point. Back in the day, doctors often told women they would never have children, even as early as their teens. Two of my sisters in law were told that. Possibly what drew Jerry to Dottie in the first place...
Agree. I think she was in a sham marriage and knew it, because they adopted so early in their married lives.
“He married Dottie Gross in 1966, the year he graduated from Penn State. He’d met her at a picnic the previous summer and although he was shy and awkward around girls, his mother pushed him to pursue the relationship.”
From http://www.cnn.com/2011/11/19/us/sandusky-memoir-profile/index.html
So maybe she was told she couldn’t have children, and he’s not attracted to women anyway. They have a marriage of convenience, and the rest is history.
Another option is she didn’t know she couldn’t have children, and Jerry “presented” himself as impotent. Either way, the end result is the same, and I think Dottie has known or suspected something “wasn’t right” about Jerry all along.
It is all the context...
Let’s say you are a financially struggling single mother.
Your son belongs to Second Mile because you are trying to help him advance his lot in life.
The founder of this wonderful place is a local legend - a football god. Why, my goodness, he is the “architect” of the PSU defense that defeated Miami! That stopped Vinny Testaverde!
Your son - like most male football fans in this area - regards PSU, Sandusky, and JoePa with awe and admiration.
And so - this highly regarded man offers to take your boy to games - to practices. My goodness! He even gets to “hang” with the Nittany Lions at the resort the night before home games!
What mother would deny this to their son?
Why would you suspect foul play, when you are told he is just going to “hang with the guys” for pre-game?
These are the Nittany Lions after all. It’s JoePa!
Pedophilia would never enter into their minds. Pedophiles are guys like.....Michael Jackson right?
Or the weird creepy guy that hangs at the playground without any kids of his own.
Pedophiles aren’t....football coaches right?
Married - successful, legendary coaches?
It’s unthinkable.
No....I don’t blame the moms. They thought they were doing their sons a favor. Their boys never had opportunities presented to them like this before.
And that is the truly evil, despicable side of this story....he had the perfect “cover”
He was a manipulative genius.
I would be censored at ESPN post-haste for the above comment.
