Sebelius overrules FDA, blocks access to Plan B contraceptive

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius on Wednesday overruled federal drug regulators to block wider access to the controversial contraceptive known as Plan B.

In a decision critics said could only be explained by politics, Sebelius ruled that women younger than 17 will need a prescription to get Plan B, which is sometimes called the morning-after pill.

Scientists at the Food and Drug Administration determined that Plan B should be made available without a prescription to women of all ages, according to a statement from FDA Commissioner Margaret Hamburg. And Hamburg agreed with their decision. But Sebelius intervened to block over-the-counter access to minors.

Sebelius heard from Obama on high.....and scotched the promiscuity gift for minors from the FDA.....not because either of them have a conscience. An okay would have hurt him politically, no doubt about it.

It is irrelevant if the Plan B Home Abortion Kit is available in front of or behind your local drugstore counter as it is an abomination that our government permits the Plan B Home Abortion Kit to be sold in the United States.

With the approval of Plan B Home Abortion Kit a several years ago, the government made Baby Killing cheap and easy.

I’m perfectly happy that the right decision was made, even if the reason was self serving political interest.

She’ll unblock it in 11 months or so.

I was wondering what the motivation would be...

Sebelius is a downright, outright evil person, so I couldn’t see her wanting to block something that would be “sex positive” unless there were a greater evil to be accomplished by it. Maintaining power is that greater evil.

“I’m perfectly happy that the right decision was made, even if the reason was self serving political interest.”

You are perfectly happy that a woman can walk into her local drug store, and for a few dollars murder her baby by taking a few pills?

Please explain why you refer to it as an abortion device rather than a contraceptive device?

simple economics, plan B makers didn’t kick back as much as the abortion mill owners did.

Yep, just after the election: if Obama wins, she’ll unblock it because we all know Obama is the most pro-abort president in US history. If he loses, she’ll unblock it to stick it in eye of the incoming Administration, forcing them to block it again, and giving the Left another political issue.

“Please explain why you refer to it as an abortion device rather than a contraceptive device?”

Because the pills are ingested following the act of unprotected intercourse and after conception of a human baby may have taken place.

So therefore, it is an abortion device.

I would not be surprised to see the Obama administration do exactly that and we need to press the GOP candidates for president to promise to withdrawal the Bush administration’s approval of the Plan B Home Abortion Kit.

Bingo The question is would this cut into the standard abortion business or not? A lot of money could be lost.

Maybe when they read the little list of “Warnings” with taking the pill, girls will think twice.

Obama: “Left hand do ‘A’.
Right hand get ready... wait for it... now! Do ‘not A’!
Gosh I’m smart.”

It must have just killed the Fetus-Wraith, Sebelius, to take one for the team like that.
