When was the last time the congress actually cut the deficit and balanced the budget?

1969

Gingrich has a history of conservative achievements. Romney has a history of appointing way more dems to the bench than repubs, gay marriage, gun control, Reagan bashing and pro-abortion.

Bashing Newt will not give conservative credentials to Mittens.

The enemy? I think the enemy is the establishment who owns noth parties. It is a fact that few accept. The people are not in control. The people lost control when they shut their eyes and turned their backs on where the country was obviously headed so many years ago.

The man the people wanted was forced to close his campaign last Saturday because he would have been effective and would have been good the country But another death threat on a member or members of his family was delivered to him on his way to announcing that he would fight on!

Is Newt Gingrich this year’s John McCain? Will the Mormon chutch take over the goverbment? Then the world? The only man who Obama was scared to death of was visciously forced out of the game!

These are sobering realities, are they not?

Some freepers are a sobering reality - of the chill down the back kind - and are out on full force on this thread -

Playing straight into the hands of the enemy - which includes the Republican Establishment - doing their best to stop the one man that that can beat obama - the only candidate with a proven record of doing exactly what we need - one has to wonder: Who are here as plants, shills, moles - and who are just plain clueless.

The answer about some is becoming abundantly clear. Ignorance reigns supreme.

A question for all you rabid Newt bashers:

We know the media is against him.

We know the demRat Socialists are against him.

We know the Establishment Republican Cabal is against him.

You all claim - incorrectly - that the Tea Party is against him.

Now who all is left to account for his run away support?

Could it be the American people who are not part of the above?

Could it be the Tea Party folk that the polls are showing?

Seems it is WE the People - including Tea Party people.

Choke on that - please.

You certainly are mis-informed...lol.

The tea party is fully behind Newt Gingrich which is what makes no sense. Gingrich is NOT IN-LINE with the tea party at all.

Gingrich’s record is clearly that of a progressive. He even called himself a Roosevelt Republican...the GOP president who started the progressive party who also didn’t believe American’s should be allowed to own property.

Too bad the truth is hard for you to swallow.

I used to be a huge Gingrich fan...until I became educated about the truth of the progressives...maybe you should stop idolizing these miscreants and stand up for what America is supposed to be ALL about and Gingrich doesn’t represent any of that.

Seriously you need to get up to speed on Newt.inc on K Street in DC.

Newt was the MAIN PERSON behind getting Obamacare in place.

It was over 100 million in lobbying dollars he managed to make that happen.

Understand who Gingrich is...he is a socialist scumbag.

-—————How about vote for anyone but a PROGRESSIVE????——————

Defeating a progressive with “our own” progressive is hardly a victory, I agree.

Let's roll up in the fetal position and put a blanket over our heads and give up!

It's absurd to say there isn't a significant difference between the two parties in regard to economic policy, national security, energy policy and what sort of judges will be nominated to the Supreme Court.

Is Newt Gingrich this year’s John McCain?

Obviously not, since he is a far better orator and debater.

We're likely stuck with an imperfect candidate but the alternative -- four more years of Obama -- is far worse.

>Let’s roll up in the fetal position and put a blanket ovr our heads and give up!<

You can do that if you want to, but that is a knee jerk and unproductive answer. This has been coming on for over 50 years and no one wanted to know it. THEN was the time to have done something about it. BEFORE our public schools became decadent and uninformative; BEFORE the courts became stacked; BEFORE the media became owned by the far left! There were pleny of warnings!.

>It’s absurd to say there isn’t a significant difference between in aregard to economic policy and what sort of judges will be nominataed to the Suupreme Court.<

It certainly is! That is why I did not say that.

I didn’t say there was no difference between the parties. I said the establishment owns both of them. The people make the difference, but the establishment controls the results. If you haven’t discovered that yet, you are sound asleep. If you own something, you control it.

I said ‘Is Newt Gingrich this year’s John McCain?’

>Obviously not since he is a better orator anddebator.<

So was Hitler and Mussolini, and Hirohito. Substance should matter more than method, Kazan. People get so poulled into delivery that they forgeet to care about what is being delivered!

The Grinch is no more a conservative than McPain was, both being insiders.

Herman Cain has the method (just being himself), and the substance (the necessary plans the truth and the skills to execute them). That is why they shot him down with their filthy lies, and evul death threats!

If you want to fight for what is right, fight for someone like Herman Cain. Don’t roll up in your very fuzzy blanket for Newt Ginngrich. We need a conservative now or we can forget the whole thing. If Cain’s former supporters would stay with his loyal supporters for truth, justice and common sense perhaps we would have a chance yet.

There is still Michelle Bachmann and Rick Santorum, you know.

Voting for the Grinch is like voting for W the secondd time. Never again!

I’ll be voting for Newt....Herman Cain isn’t running Paperdoll..he’s done now...hard to let go isn’t it?

Newt’s going to be our candidate...we can vote conservatives in the congress wo will keep him from going to far off course...and the weight is the congress.

So just get on board and lets take out Obama first...then the Czars...overturn Obamacare...get our military in order and effective TO WIN.

Bachmann and Cain were my primaries with Santorum as my acceptable compromise. I’ll be voting for Bachmann in the primary.

After witnessing the vicious rage with which some “conservatives” attacked Bachmann and Cain it has become even more apparent how important it is that I face my maker with a clear conscience.

If my refusal to trade down on my principles makes me something other than conservative, then maybe FReepers should undertake getting me banned. It won’t change reality but it will remove my pesky opinion and make life easier for blind followers.

>We can vote cnservatives in the congress who will......<

Axelrod says who will serve in congress, just like he controls who wins the Senate (Obama) nd who runs for president (not Cain).

I can’t believe how many Americans haven’t discovered that yet. Even Pogo is smarater than that.

Welfare reform, balanced budgets and a 90% ACU record prove that contention wrong.

If you want to fight for what is right, fight for someone like Herman Cain

What good would that do? He dropped out of the race.

We need a conservative now or we can forget the whole thing.

That is absurd. If Obama gets four more years, say goodbye to the second amendment as we know it, welcome gay marriage to all 50 states, enjoy Obamacare becoming entrenched as the law of the land and expect religious freedom to be curtailed.

Permanent damage will be done to this nation if Obama gets four more years and couple more radical judges onto the Supreme Court.

The idea standing on "principle" and letting that happen is both misguided and foolish.

There are other people LIKE Herman Cain who could step in. Maybe not as dynamic, smart or skillful as he is, maybe more so! But they love and honor our sacred documents and the Ten Commandments. They walk with their Maker for righteousness. The principles are high. The dress code is moderate, and the dreams are for a better world.

We mustn’t settle for less or we get no gain. We buckle to the few! That is not the America I loved and knew!

You have to admit Newt does dress modestly...
