DennisW, your Jewish prayers touch me deeply. Thanks tons.
We reportedly have Jewish blood but I haven’t pinned it down thoroughly yet.
Thanks dljordan—I’m sure my step-sister will insist on all she can insist on. She’s rather irrepressible.
Thanks Trisham for your persistent thoughtfulness and caring prayers.
Dysart—thanks for the suggestion—they will if they can but at present, they cannot move him. His pain and suffering and fragility are so extreme that they can’t move him.
Thanks Wagglebee—your and y’all’s prayers touch me deeply.
May God return to all who pray many fold.
Amen! Amen! Amen! BOPlenty, Paradox et al THX TONS.
YES YARDDOG—FALLING AT OUR AND OLDER AGES IS NO SMALL THING.
Statistics seem to indicate it usually starts a rapid declind down to death within less than a year or even more rapidly.
THE TOUCHING CARING AND PRAYERS ON THIS THREAD HAVE MOVED ME ENORMOUSLY. THANKS FOR YOUR ENCOURAGEMENTS IN THE LORD.
THANKS FOR YOUR CARING.

“This is mother’s birthday and the day her father died. “

This is a tough time. I lost my dad the day before Thanksgiving some years ago. God be with you all.
Prayers for peace and reassurance.
1 Thessalonians 4 "wherefore comfort one another with these words" comes to mind as well.
Prayers for your bio father Quix, and many prayers for you. Prayers of peace and forgiveness and grace.
Prayers, dear Quix. I pray that he slumbers into heaven.
This is very tough and painful for you and me, the people who minister to these tough old birds. The best thing we can do is learn from fathers. In this case to never fall. I hope all old people never fall. Breaking a hip is very traumatic for them. Vitamin D 5000 units per day puts the calcium where it should be plus spoonful of cod liver oil on an empty stomach.
You got it, don’t thank me: I will be needing your prayers soon enough for my parents. God Bless.
