SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- The number of major U.S. companies covering the cost of gender reassignment surgery for transgender workers has more than doubled in the past year, according to a new scorecard compiled by the nation's largest gay rights group.
The Human Rights Campaign said in a report to be published Thursday that 207 of the 636 businesses it surveyed for its annual Corporate Equality Index either are already providing transgender- inclusive employee health benefits or plan to at the start of the new year.
Last year, 85 companies had insurance plans that paid for sex transformation surgeries, and only 49 did in 2009. A decade ago, when the campaign launched the index, none did.

More evil insanity if anyone wants to read about it. Even John Hopkins Hospital won't do "sex change" aka "gender reassignment" surgery any more as it merely caters to the mentally ill and doesn't help them, they are just as miserable if not more so afterwards, but there is no going back after the mutilations are done. And to add insult to injury, other needed medical procedures will be limited for this. It's not the money, it's pushing Evil on purpose.
Wasted money. Totally, completely wasted money. Money thrown down a s_it hole never to be seen again.
No way in the world this should be covered for anyone.
Can you believe that HEARING AID coverage is virtually non-existant, and these idiots are concerned with whacking body parts and sewing them on elsewhere.

What if one changes one’s gender and decides it was a bad idea? Does insurance cover gender re-reassignment? It’s only fair, no?
we better get a candidate who understands conservative social issues and now some pansy liberal fool with liberal social issues.
Which begs the questions why do we allow RP etc to come to our debates, run on our ticket when he is clearly not a conservative or a republican infact he’s more liberal than some liberals on social and foreign issues
