Newt has LOTS of dirty laundry that will come out...

We are running against one of the weakest candidates and years,.. and the GOP SUCKS!! I know lots of people that hate zero... but the current GOP does NOT appeal to them at all...

How is this possible?? this should be an easy win for us.. but I wouldnt count on it...

I have to wonder (and HOPE) this is why Cain only suspended his run for the nomination and didn’t say he was officially ending his bid. He knew it wasn’t over (mud slinging) with Newt or anyone else for that matter.

The problem is that those in the GOP who would make great candidates aren’t “ready” for the big prize yet...Marco Rubio, Bob McDonnell, Nikki Haley, *maybe* Scott Walker if he can survive the recall...

None of them are ready now but all could run in 2016 or 2020.

I maintain that Palin wasn’t ready to be VP in ‘08, and had she stayed on as Governor and run for President outright in 2012, she may have done much better.

Concur. I don’t doubt for a second that Newt actually did the things he’s being accused of. Regardless of how good a debater he is, these things will come out. Certainly they will come out during the General Election ‘cause the MSM isn’t going to cover for Newt like they would for a Democrat. Eventually, some journalistic heavyweight will ask Newt about this point blank in an on-camera interview. At that time, he’s either going to have to answer truthfully or squirm—neither will look good.

All alleged affair in 1977, almost 35 years ago, has you ready to toss Newt overboard?

Yes, the "GOP SUCKS," the prospect of facing the Chicago Machine and Obama turned good candidates into weak-kneed cowards who chose to stay on the sidelines.

It's highly likely he'll be reelected just on the "historical nature" of his presidency. If he were John Kerry, and his term was judged on the merits instead of other factors, he'd be toast.

That’s because the folks who should have stood behind Cain, believed that the crocodile won’t eat them.

Pity that they are learning their lesson now.

I don’t know why the GOP insists on nominating the person that the MSM chooses, but they don’t seem to see through things.

I warned em bout Newt, but now they reap what they sowed.

All this weakness business is because he National GOP doesn’t want a real conservative to run as the Republican candidate. They don’t like the conservative philosophy and think it is a loser. Get smart and let’s dump the National Committee.

Exactly, what was the point of 2010 if helping the GOP gain seats, and the House, accomplish nothing?

John Boehner? What a total joke.

He does? lol ok if you say so.

I think we’ve heard everything already on Newt. I mean, like him or not, everyone knows he has had affairs.
This is not news, and I doubt there’s much left we don’t already know considering he’s been in the public eye for years and speaker of the house. Do you forget how they went after him over contract with America?

Yep. The skeletons are going to start tumbling out of the Gingrich closet. And what if Wife #3 with whom he had an affair while he was married decides she’s going to bail on him? Somehow the repentent sinner routine he has adopted just in time for his presidential run seems a bit calculated to me. I think his reputation as a rather churlish, ruthless, ethically-challenged partisan isn’t going to wear well with the independents and disaffected Dems we’re going to need to oust Obama.

None of these candidates impresses me. The really A-team contenders—a Paul Ryan or Bob McDonald or John Thune—aren’t running. We’re stuck with the weak bench.
