You say Levin said he was OK with Newt, he and most of us would be OK if it was Newt against obama.

Probably every single reader here will vote for nearly anyone over Obama. But independents and unhappy Dems in the swing states going for Gingrich ? I don’t think so. He has simply got too many turn-offs, even for conservatives (and that is besides marring the image of the GOP for years and years).
Newt won’t even get a sizable chunk of the Republican vote, particularly women. People will either be staying home or writing in candidates which is the long way around voting Obama.
