Newt was the primary motivator in developing the Contract with America for the 1994 election. He made a legitimate effor to enact each portion of that contract. Yes, due to the lack of Senate commitment and veto's by Clinton, much of the contract was not passed or negotiated down. But, the segment of government that he led, the house, was tried and true committed to execution of that contract.

Dust off that contract and post it on the wall. Doesn't it accurately represent what the Tea Party is all about?

newt promised to abolish 95 Federal Agencies in 1994... 95 of those still exist and 95 have seen their funding increase every year since 1994. Good intentions mean nothing... unless you are a dim.
