I’m an Indians fan, so I don’t have to worry about such silliness. The only salary concern for the Indians ownership is the effort to underspend the Pirates.

Look @ the Indians Top Prospects from 2003. Sabathia was not included, but they were incredibly loaded! The only other team even comparable was the Angels. The Angels compete perennially. The Tribe stinks. IMHO, Indian fans have way more to complain about than Cavs fans.

Oh, I think Acta should've been Manager of the Year. He kept a team with no talent in the race most of the way.

“Oh, I think Acta should’ve been Manager of the Year. He kept a team with no talent in the race most of the way.”

Agreed. And it shocks me, because they got Acta from the Nationals because he was cheap! They figured going from one loser to another, he’d know the ropes.

The Dolan ownership is killing the Indians. I understand fiscal responsibility, but Dolan is just plain cheap. Dolan doesn’t care about winning, he simply wants to make money. Hard to sell a team to the fans on the basis of having a healthy balance sheet. We get the mid-market team song and dance, but teams like the Twins, and the Cardinals seem to compete every year. Stuff it Larry Dolan!

The Cavs are just a case of bad luck. And Cleveland is the poster child for bad luck. Dan Gilbert wants to spend money, and he wants to win. But, it’s very difficult in the NBA where the players can form their own coalitions, and go to media centers. It will take a stroke of luck for the Cavs to be good again, and luck isn’t something you count on in Cleveland sports.

The Browns... ugh. I don’t know where to begin. Mike Holmgren is another of a long line of washed up sports figures coming to Cleveland for one last big payday. The ownership is the problem. Randy Lerner doesn’t know an American football from a bird bath. Randy does have an English soccer team that he turned around and made a winner. That’s where his passion lies. The Browns are simply a cash cow to support his interest in soccer. I won’t even watch tonight as the Steelers crush them like a poor high school team.

Thank goodness Urban Meyer came to the Buckeyes. One glimmer of hope in an otherwise dismal sports scene in NE Ohio.

Not that you asked. :)

Say, what??? Asdrubal Cabrera has no talent? Shin-soo Choo has no talent? Carlos Santana has no talent? Grady Sizemore has no talent? Matt LaPorta has no talent? Michael Brantley has no talent?

Injured, maybe. Slumping, possibly. But “no talent”? No way!

BTW, I hear Pedro Cerrano is available. Anybody know if he still has Joe Bu?
