Jon Corzine's professed ignorance of what's become of his former customers' money doesn't fly with John Roe, a leading member of the 7,000-account strong Commodity Customers Coalition, an ad-hoc group pushing for MF client funds to be released. "Ignorance is not a defense and it implies that his subordinates are at fault," says Roe, who is watching Thursday's hearing from an overflow room on Capitol Hill. "How did he run a state?"

Hope they make him sweat and he soon is in handcuffs, but not holding my breath. He used to be one of 'them' so most will probably trat him with kid gloves.

Never seen Corzine struggle so hard to answer questions. Very tortured language about “not knowing” about “specific” transfers of customer funds. And did not directly answer if he authorized transfers.

My question is: “ If Democrat Obama had been the head of MF Global, instead of Democrat Corzine, would Democrat Obama have been a better financial manager than Democrat Corzine? “

"How did he run a state?"

he didn't do anything any different. He just stole other peoples money on a weekly payroll deduction required by law, to use for his own purposes.

This should be a ready made GOP campaign ad. Show Biden where he states that “Corzine is our go to financial guy”. Then show Corzine saying that he did not know where 1.5 billion of his investors money went.
