Posted on 12/08/2011 4:29:13 PM PST by Nachum
Sharyl Attkisson of CBS News has posted a bombshell article detailing how the Obama administration has greatly increased gun sales to the Mexican military. But further investigation into Attkissons discovery points toward the padding of a gun-control statistic one frequently mentioned by the Obama administration as the motive behind the increased sales.
One weapon an AR-15-type semi-automatic rifle tells the story. In 2006, this same kind of rifle tracked by serial number is legally sold by a U.S. manufacturer to the Mexican military.
Three years later its found in a criminal stash in a region wracked by Mexican drug cartel violence.
That prompted a sensitive cable, uncovered by WikiLeaks, dated June 4, 2009, in which the U.S. State Department asked Mexico how the AR-15″ meant only for the military or police was diverted into criminal hands.
And, more importantly, where the other rifles from the same shipment went: Please account for the current location of the 1,030 AR-15 type rifles, reads the cable.
Theres no response in the record.

Gosh WHAT were the motives of the bisexual Muslim?
OK so desertion is a huuuuge problem down there, and WHAT is the first thing that a deserter sells?
To whom does the deserter sell that thing?
2012 election bonus question: Which government entity MUST sign-off on ALL weapons sold to foreign countries?
Arms sales are one of the big things that the US makes money on. What’s wrong with selling weapons to the Mexican army?
If they were stolen from the army and sold to criminals, or found their way into criminal hands through corruption, that’s the fault of Mexico, and has nothing to do with US gun dealers or even US arms manufacturers (who are obviously the ones being criticized in this post).
Where are the reports of guns going to Honduras? I haven’t heard much more on that.
To be fair, it is not up to the US to control the arms sold to the Mexican government.
You know that.
I know that.
What about the great mass of voters? Or hispanics at large? On whom do THEY rely? Sure, the MEDIA, and whose line do THEY toe...?
Isn't this amazing? How many Mexicans did the Obama Administration kill? (The number of dead is nowhere near 200)
After they imprison a border patrol agent for TWISTING AN ARM, what punishment will befall the leaders of this blood-soaked, enormous scheme?
There is nothing that this administration does that doesn’t have the smell of rotting fish about it.
Looks like a really stupid, really liberal girl. Bleh.
1. baseball player takes steroids - MAJOR investigation
2. twist the arm of an illegal alien - 3 years in prison
3. sell a senator’s seat - 14 years in prison
4. murder 3,000 Mexicans, burn a casino, shoot-down a Federale helicopter - SCOTT FREE/FIRED ??
He is building an Army south of our border and killing off ours.
After signing the petition you will get an automatic way to send an e-mail to your Congressman and Senators. You can use their text or fill in your own.
Then why do we have export controls on arms sales to foreign countries that require a sign-off from the State Dept.?
Another “legal” DC lapse of reason. The Mexican government and its army is as corrupt as the day is long.
The state department is heavily influenced by Soros. Podesta, has left his CAP responsibilities to advise Hillary.
...Perhaps the most interesting disclosure: the 1,030 weapons that were sold for use by the Mexican military were not military-grade weapons. The Mexican government was acquiring the AR-15, a semi-automatic firearm designed for the civilian market.
...When these DCS-obtained firearms are recovered at crime scenes, they are identified by Mexican authorities as being American
...The weapon can then be used to pad the statistics of the 90-percent lie that President Obama, Attorney General Holder, and Secretaries Clinton and Napolitano have used to call for more gun control in the United States.
