"....I would expect a mass tax revolt ..."

A tax revolt will not happen, in fact, other a few keyboard bitching, nothing wil happen. I expected the Conservatives to raise holy hell when obamacare was passed because it affected their children but nothing happened. The Republicans candidates said,"Elect me and I will abolish obamacare!" They were elected and obamacare is still on the books and moving forward. If people will not fight for their children, they will not fight for anything. General Patton is said to have made the statement, "A soldier that won't f@!*, won't fight". The evidence speaks for itself.

If he did i would make sure Australia becomes not just a tourist destination for me.

That is unless individual states secede and extremely limit anything Federal, to the point of mandating local public militia training. same as Israel.

>>I’m in the Kumamoto countryside . Been in Japan since 1985 ( 10 years in Tokyo ) . My daughter passed her HS teaching exam so will be moving out at the end of March . Room for rent . ; )

If I go back, it’s gonna be Kyoto again. I used to live in the country when I lived in southern Wakayama and I’m never doing that again, lol. Even if the crisis extends to Kyoto, at least there they’ll rob you politely.

“Both Santorum and Bachmann are 100 percent conservative. I mean not one divorce or adultery between the two. Both have been married for a very long time and have a very fine family. These are the two best conservatives we have running right now.”

Oh, you mean’t in their personal lives. Okay, I can agree with that. I was speaking of personal and political/public combined as being “100%”

If the Bozo, Reed, Pi$$losi, Soro’s and Axlrod are re-elected.

The only answer is to form another Republic and let the Bozonites have their own commie country. They then can starve and freeze.

Each state has it’s own reserve army, air force and equiptment to fully protect a new Republic.

Methinks we’re past the tipping point. Doesn’t matter who is elected, except to change whether we accelerate or skid off the cliff. Come January I’m going into full-on debt-elimination and stockpiling mode. Get a few final big purchases (chest freezer, new computer, maybe a used Jeep) needed to get thru the next 5 years, stuff that you don’t want to go “oh crap, shoulda got a ____ already, can’t get it now”.

It’s not “what will you do if the Obama is re-elected”. Come November 7 will be too late to act; you’d better already be in the “what if” position.

You are 1000% correct. 1Kings 16:33: Ahab did more to provoke the LORD God of Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel that were before him. 1Kings 21:25: But there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the LORD, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up. Genesis 12:3: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. The total contempt he has for Israel, will be his downfall and ours if we elect this idiot again! Jezebel is a perfect name for her, right after the Wookie.

Thanks for the comment. Alas, I fear most Freepers have no idea who Ahab/Jezebel were, or the grisly end God had for them for their evil deeds.. Dogs, pigs, blood, what an ending.

That is the point. He will rule as a dictator via decree in ways we have never seen. Yes, it could get a lot worse.

I agree. Posing the question will prompt people to make radical changes in anticipation of a bad outcome. People will talk of taking money out if their accounts, buying guns and ammo, and stockpiling food. More and more, people will think about these things, talk and then take action. These actions will no longer be extreme. Then, these actions will start to snowball and potentially lead to a panic. The idea is to be ahead of the curve and let the drones fend for themselves.

Obama EO’s have no power if there is no money to support the bureaucracy he needs to implement

Though I do agree he can dictate or decree anything he wants...we can choose to ignore

I have already done it. I retire from my job on December 31 this month. I am going to figure out what the optimum drawdown vs. taxes rate on my retirement fund is and I’m going to regularly pull it out and use it. The portion unused gets stashed in Simmons National Bank and Trust. In January, my SS starts and I’ll pay the bills with that.

I am done paying $50K year in taxes to stand behind fat b!tches in Walmart buying all their crap with an EBT card and then waddling out to their new SUVs yakking on their iPhones.

I could have worked at least another 5 years paying $50K or more, driving 120 miles/day, but why the hell bother? Obama will likely get re-elected and I’m not going to finance him anymore. I’m done with it!

I’d like to live “ closer “ to a big city like Fukuoka , but we were fortunate to get a very good deal on a house ( actually 2 : we have a small 2 room house adjacent to the main house where I play drums and store part of my collection ) here in my wife’s hometown so that is where we be . : )

I like Kyoto , too . Our daughter graduated from Kyoto Sangyo Univ. in 2009 and she just loved the Kyoto area . My wife’s brother lives between Kyoto and Osaka in Takatsuki .

Yeah, when I lived in Tanabe (south Wakayama) I had a 40jo apt for 60000 yen a month. It was almost bigger than my parents house in California, lol. The country is always cheap, I just couldn’t stand how dull it was when I was in my 20’s and single.

Kyoto Sangyo is in a really beautiful part of Kyoto. I used to teach in Takatsuki and owned a school in Ibaraki myself. I lived in Arashiyama though, and I really don’t think I’ll find a better place to live. Every season of the year it was paradise - you got sick of all the tourists though. I spent so many weekends hiking.

I hear you with regards to living in the countryside of Japan when one is in one’s 20’s . When I was younger I dug living in the Tokyo area . Plenty of work , clubs , music , restaurants , millions of gorgeous women , etc...like any large world city , but it was SAFE . And it still is . One can walk virtually anywhere in Tokyo and not have to worry . I wouldn’t even walk my hometown streets in CT late at night and the population is only around 25,000 !

Thrust my lance into the ground and stand and fight. That Kenyan Moron is not going to run me off.

I’ll be at your side. Proudly!
