I have no clue whether or not these stories are true. But there is something about this particular accusation of the victim that he was screaming while the wife was in the house - and her denial - that reminds me of the Massachusetts Day Care child abuse hysteria of the 1980’s. The massive publicity and the absolute conviction of everyone involved that the accused are scum bags and guilty as hell. And the ever more outlandish allegations just give me a little pause. Don’t forget in the end most of the convictions in the Day Care cases were overturned.
Actually, there was a modern day witch hunt back in the 80’s, where ambitious prosecutors literally destroyed the lives of countless innocent people. And a complicit media, more or less, convicted innocent men and women in advance of their trials. The two most infamous were the Little Rascals day care center in North Carolina and the McMartin Pre School in Calfornia. I remember the Little Rascals case began because of a vengeful parent. All the kids at the school vehemently denied they were sexually abused. The experts immediately claimed “denial” was a sign abuse had actually occurred. I remember multiple teachers both male and female and even a school cook were accused of being involved. I don’t know if Sandusky is guilty or not, but the media has convicted him, Paterno and everyone else allegedly involved at Penn State.
did the case with the day care center have adult witnesses to the abuse?
Did any adult claim they were eyewitnesses to child rape?
