I think you have just defined phase 2 of the Newt Surge. Phase 1 was when his debate performances hit critical mass of people re thinking Newt and switching (aided by Cain’s problems too of course).
But Phase 2 is that now people have to realize that while Newt has spent a lot of time inside the beltway, he is NOT the choice of the beltway. And people are realizing that this is probably a good thing.
Whether or not you like Newt - and I fully understand why some do not - it is becoming clearer and clearer that he ticks more people off inside the beltway than does Obama or Mitt. Newt is not the establishment candidate.

LOL! There’ some truth to that. I can vote for any Republican but Romney, anyway. Actually, I think Newt will be a formidable candidate and a pretty good President. He’s been consistently attacking Obama, Pelosi and the Democrats, and has not been attacking fellow Republicans, unlike the rest. Newt is already acting like the nominee.
