Fox just had on Bryon York of National Review who commented on a poll that had Newt ahead in the Republican race, but behind when matched against Obama compared to Romney. York said that in spite of their dislike of Romney, conservatives want to defeat Obama so will chose the candidate best able to do that.
Total spin for Romney by the Washington elites and Faux News.
Problem with that is conservatives know that Romney cannot beat Obama despite the (probably biased) polling, plus these polls don’t mean crap at this point. Newt will eviscerate Obama in the debates, and if Obama refuses to debate he can taunt and ridicule Obama about it, provided he is willing to actually do that.
We will see if Newt really has it in him for a barroom brawl, which is what is going to be needed to get the commie out of the white house.
In spite of the attacks by the mainstream press and establishment republicans, Newt is within striking distance of Obama. I have totally tuned out the Sununu’s, Talent’s, Coburn’s, etc., who are hellbent on forcing Romney upon us. The media of course, want no part of a Gingrich nomination because Newt will throw their crap right back in their faces.
One other point Byron York did not mention is that in either of the 2 polls, Obama is well under 50%. He is a loser unless some disgruntled moderate decides to get in and hand Obama a 2nd term.
Ignore these polls and do some on the ground polling yourself.
My report; two VERY liberal NY women who voted for Barry
last time are “very disappointed” with him and would vote for Newt
if he runs.
The best part?
They’re Jewish.
This is incredible!
It's not that personal. Conservatives want to defeat government control over our lives, not just Obama. Mittens isn't enough of an improvement in that department. Obama could be a fine conservative teleprompter reader if his string pulling team were upgraded.
Fox just had on {Bryon York, Britt Hume, Frank Luntz, Rassummen, Ann Coulter, Laura Ingram, Dana Perino, Charles Krat.} of National Review what ever forum who commented on a poll that had {Newt, Bachmann, Perry, Palin} ahead in the Republican race, but behind when matched against Obama compared to Romney. York said that in spite of their dislike of Romney, conservatives want to defeat Obama so will chose the candidate best able to do that.
Once the pubbies finally choose their nominee, all those polls showing Zer0 nosing out this guy or that one will take on a whole different character: The GOPer will take a lead in the 54-46 range.
Only a third party run by Ron Paul or some other Republican of similar popularity will change that.
Have a look at Rasmussen’s presidential “trends.” Hussein has been in the doldrums-—meaning the mid-40’s-—for over TWO YEARS. The people have made up their minds about him. All we need is to nominate somebody just “satisfactory” and Hussein will go down.
Unless some egotist wants to go 3rd party. Then all bets are off.
