Obama is correct when he says it will create more jobs, more government jobs, that is.

And, of course, digging a pipeline is dirty outdoors work, nothing like sitting around drawing unemployment and getting those prime tee times.

The ease that he lies with so blatantly is amazing. Him and all the Rats. Up is down, truth is lie, war is peace. Jeesus, even Clinton gave people a shred of truth in the lie to hang on to.

This crap is just “In your face” garbage.

...more government jobs, that is.

Yeah, too bad they cost wealth instead of creating it.

Nobody loves the unemployed and downtrodden more than Obama. That’s why he wants to create so many more of them.

I’ve got to hand it to the Republicans on this one. It’s a brilliant linkage. Very politically adept, imo.

Now that he thinks that he is the president of the whole world he just phones it in. There is no effort to be real on his part.

Then it is a win win, more ‘jobs’ from welfare and more JOBS from the pipeline project. Certainly 0bama can’t be against new jobs /sarc

re: “The ease that he lies...”

Generally true but, in this particular instance, Obama is not lying. He sincerely believes that extending unemployment insurance will add many more jobs than the Keystone XL pipeline.

His highly educated and intelligent and well-respected council of economic advisers have told him this. Their advice is well grounded in generally accepted Keynesian economic models. All of this comports nicely with Obama’s own very limited economic education as well as his political interests. Both Obama and his economic advisers truly believe that extending unemployment insurance benefits will increase economic growth and create jobs as informed by their Keynesian economic models.

Of course, the fact that virtually all politicians of both parties are Keynesians (whether they have the economic education to know it or not; most politicians are economic illiterates and merely glom onto one Keynesian fashion or another) exacerbates the problem. Among the Republican candidates there are but two exceptions: Michele Bachmann and Ron Paul, though sometimes Newt expresses a non-Keynesian heresy.

Obama is such a lying sack of - have to catch myself, this is a family website.

You give unemployed people a bunch of money and they’re just going to go out and spend it. Big help that’s going to be.

When I walked through the room and heard Obama make that comment yesterday, my first thought was, "In that one remark, he just unmasked his ideological commitment to a doctrine that is foreign to America's founding principles."

American freedom, opportunity, wealth creation, prosperity and plenty relied on what Madison called the "benign" influence of government and free individuals doing what they do best.

It did not result from some political class of know-it-all elected politicians and bureaucrats "deciding" how they would confiscate and redistribute some "fair share" of tax dollars which they coercively stripped from the pockets of their fellow citizens, and thereby purchasing the votes of those to whom the ill-gotten dollars were distributed.

And the cost to the taxpayer for each?

There in lies the rub. Those employed on the pipeline are generating an income from something of value, whereas, the unemployed are taking from others, creating nothing, consuming everything.

The PharaOh Jacka$$ has no vision of how his utopia is going to catastrophically end.
