---snip-- Police say this is an odd case. The suspect they are looking for is said to be soft spoken, has a gentle demeanor; he made no display of a weapon, nor did he make any specific threats. He gain entry into the house by making a topical, but unusual declaration.

There is a great parable in this story; A naïve liberal is robbed without a gun in their own home. BTW - This is very nice neighborhood, just a block or two away from Merion Country Club/Philadelphia Main Line.

Even if he was a “legitimate” Occupy Philadelphia protestor, the result would have been largely the same.

Per the article the female homeowner answered the door. Yes, answered the door with an unknown man standing there. Unbelievable.
The last time an unknown man showed up at my door at 9:30pm to pick up his child, I called the police. His story made no sense and I figured better safe than sorry. And no, I did not open the door.

Like I tell my liberal sister.
They aren’t coming out here in the sticks where I live. They’re coming to your upscale suburban neighborhood.

I do not open my door to strangers. If I must accept a package that requires a signature, I look for a UPS or FedEx truck, step outside and leave my barking, lunging four 100 pounds each hounds inside. No one has ever asked to come in.

I've got a Dachshund. All 17 pounds of him went after the Fed-Ex man one day and nearly got him. I made the mistake of letting the man place a large package inside my front door. My dog took one look at a stranger in the house and took off after him with me in hot pursuit. This little dog came within a hair of getting his ankle. Whew.

A guy I worked with was once awakened by a friend of his stepson at 2 AM. He opened the door in his pajamas, .357 Magnum in hand and said, “How may I help you?”

Apparently this woman is blind as well. She couldn’t even give the height, weight, or race of the robber, if the reporting is accurate *cough*.

Obviously, the perp is not from "Occupy Philadelphia".
If he had been, he would have made a terrific racket and awakened everyone in the neighborhood, eaten everything in her refrigerator, strewn the garbage all over her house, and then taken a dump in the middle of her living room floor before robbing her and going home to his momma's basement.
This guy is a fake - and not even a good one.
