Without a free economy to feed off of, communism/socialism cannot survive. Somebody has to pay the bills. Communism/socialism has to keep the unwashed masses pacified by keeping them high on booze and/or drugs.

True believers like Obama don't recognize that fact. He honestly believes that government can build factories and control production and distribution.
True to form, he believes that the reason socialism/Marxism/communism has failed in the past is because HE wasn't there to direct it.
