The military screwed up, they should have hit it within 2 or 3 minutes of losing it, assuming they knew where it is.

True, but you have to believe he's briefed on operations, especially ones in this theater. If he's going to take credit for operations he doesn't plan or execute (like the bin Laden raid), he's gotta take the lumps when they fail.

He's CiC and ultimately responsible. Maybe he doesn't deserve all the blame, but making a statement like this certainly makes him deserving of the ridicule.

People were reacting to HIS stupid actions/decisions for the ‘international incidents’, so those are off limits too?

And perhaps the military did not screw up. If the Iranians were in fact able to unlink our American-based "pilot" and were able to take over the controls, one would think that more than just the Iranians were involved in this. Perhaps he should have at least grounded the drones flying outside of Afghanistan until this virus was completely taken care of.

It was said Iraqis might have used a Russian or Chinese program to intercept the video signal from a drone and that the program could have cost as little as US$26.

Do I think he is? No. Do I think he SHOULD be intimately involved with daily reports on the activities of our drones flying very close to international airspace borders? Hell Yeah. He is our CIC.
