'How to get expelled': Climate sceptic recruits kids
The Adelaide Advertiser ^ | 13th December 2011 | Claire Peddie

FORMER Prime Minister John Howard has launched a controversial book teaching students to be climate change sceptics.

Climate change sceptic Ian Plimer's book "How to Get Expelled from School: A Guide to Climate Change for Pupils, Parents and Punters" arms children with 101 questions to challenge their teachers.

It has been billed as an "anti-warmist manual for the younger reader".

Mr Howard attacked the one-sided teaching of climate change in schools.

"People ought to be worried about what their children are being taught at school," he said.

"It's a matter of real concern".

Prof Plimer said said he had a lot of parents write to him about this topic.

"They were saying that their kids are being fed environmental activism at school, rather than the basics of science, which gives them the ability to analyse activist arguments," he said.

The 250-page book includes a list of questions intended to embarrass poorly prepared teachers.

Questions include: "Is climate change normal?" and "In the last 100 years, has there been global warming and global cooling?".

"They're questions that kids should be asking of teachers, because if the teacher can answer it means they might know something about the subject," Prof Plimer said.

"If they can't, or start to promote ideology, it shows that our schools have been captured.

"Parents are telling me that schools have been captured by a lot of activists and kids are being fed stuff that is not relevant to the real world."

” a list of questions intended to embarrass poorly prepared teachers”

The teachers SHOULD be embarrassed if they are just parroting stuff to the kids because some bureaucrat told them to.

kids are being fed stuff that is not relevant to the real world.

Which is why there is college later, with liberal arts curriculums. Advanced degrees in dancing and finger painting are certainly worth the lifetime debt that comes with them.

They'll just be expelled if they're lucky. It could be much worse...

Expelled??

I’m betting that there are areas in this country where such ‘disobedience’ would trigger a psychiatric evaluation of the student, where the student would be prescribed drugs to curb the ‘disobedience’ - and then the parents would be denounced to the local Family Services Department to remove the children from the ‘neglectful and abusive’ home....

The questions I love to ask my liberal students:

What human activity caused the 14th century to be warmer than today?

Why was the warmest year in the last 100 1938?

Why do satellites concisely show that no warming has occured?

Why is Mars getting warmer?

Here in the states, teaching is why the GOP must stop ignoring Michigan. We produce more of America’s teachers than anywhere else and putting some real national force behind our state party would sure help rein in the marxist indoctrination going on.

Alan Bloom’s book, The Closing of the American Mind points this out.

Nonsense is learned-—no basic knowledge for analytic thinking. They are ignorant so they can’t process information given in college classes. They are stupid.

There is a window for “knowledge” and learning where the rapid growth of the brain is crucial to intelligence. That mind in elementary school is destroyed with cognitive dissonance—a bunch of fundamental lies about the laws of nature and Nature’s God.

It destroys the possibility of being rational——esp. in college. Why do you think liberals can’t process information even when the facts are laid out.

Ex-KGB said the schools were infused with this cognitive dissonance to destroy logical thinking. Look at the OWS and ACORN thugs—it worked.

Can we verify if the thermometers used years ago were probperly calibrated? What is causing the polar ice caps on Mars to recede? Do Martians drive SUV’s? Why did the Vikings give Greenland that name? Greenland is now covered in ice. Those teachers would give me an “F” for sure.

Truly, just notice the liberal tendency to focus on the learning process of children. And then destroy it. Know they enemy, I suppose. Che Guevara once said that humans weren’t evolved enough to make true communism possible. I wonder what that “evolved” version would look like? Sort of like a labotomized version of today’s? Just a guess.

This is terrific news! Hopefully, some kids and their parents will be empowered to fight this hoax.

“Here in the states, teaching is why the GOP must stop ignoring Michigan. We produce more of America’s teachers than anywhere else and putting some real national force behind our state party would sure help rein in the marxist indoctrination going on.”

Perhaps the solution is to abandon Michigan altogether, and train teachers in other parts of the country. If this is the best Michigan can do, then the US would be better off adopting precisely the opposite.

We can verify that the thermometers used have been experiencing warming due to urbanization/poor location.

But of course, that’s supporting the designed hypothesis. So systematic bias is not a concern.

Do you realize that the GOP wave last November was greater in Michigan than anywhere else in the country? The GOP ran the table and the democrats didn’t pick up a single seat above the county level. Meanwhile we picked up the Governor’s seat, secretary of state. attorney general, put two conservatives on the supreme court, increased our hold in the state senate, picked up the house, and took two US house seats from the democrats.

Yeah, the stupid party may as well abandon us.

I comment on your comment as a teacher here in TX, where we have instituted a very conservative curriculum, and have excellent schools.

I fail to see why Michigan should train more teachers, in a nation seeking conservatives as instructors. Perhaps you can explain to me why this is the case.

It seems to me that the reason Michigan is such a focus, is precisely the opposite, that the liberal school districts recruit other liberals to teach.

You could study up on the situation but I suspect you’ll just wait for someone to tell you what to think.

Have a good evening.

Good on you!

When I ask the same sort of questions to liberals, here are the answers that I get:

What human activity caused the 14th century to be warmer than today? A:That was just a local event, not a global one.

Why was the warmest year in the last 100 1938? A:It wasn't. The New York Times says 2011 is on course to be the warmest EVER!

Why do satellites concisely show that no warming has occurred? A:They don't. I can't ever get them beyond repeating themselves on this one.

Why is Mars getting warmer? A:It isn't! See above.

I'd like to hear what sort of answers you're getting since I have no intention of giving up on this fight.
