Still any ones ball game, the majority of people are still open to changing their mind, that said I doubt it is Paul .

“Under no circumstances is he worse than the guy in there right now...”

WRONG! As Obama screws up the nation, the Democrat Party owns responsibility and gets blamed for it. As the nutcase Paul, a libertarian, screws up the nation, the GOP gets blamed.

Paul is a nut that fits in nowhere. He is not a conservative, not a Republican, and not Tea Party. He is the party crasher that nobody wants. At a time the Tea Party needs to continue to displace the establishment RINO GOP, that kook is doing nothing but screw up the effort. Both major factions of the GOP need to tell that nut to take a hike.

Not a surprise to a lot of us; Iowa is a mecca for so-called “independent thinkers” at their Caucus. I expected Ron “Ralien” Paul to win there, since last time.

If Paul flip flops on dope smoking, 3/4 of his support bails.

This poll just shows how weak the current leaders, are. Maybe there is still hope to get away from the media elite picks.

I'm more than likely voting for Paul in the primary.

If he is not a candidate in the general, I will probably write him in.

That will probably be marginally better than what I did in the last Presidential election, which was to write myself in.

Paul is the only candidate that reflects the majority of my values.

Like it or not, that's the way it is.

Not blue last time fortunately.

And actually we are probably more (or at least as conservative) conservative on the R state than many other states.

And yet for all the money and time the candidates spend in Iowa it remains a blue state. I have nothing against Iowa being part of the process, but I am concerned about granting a blue state the first crack at “sorting” Republican candidates.

Seriously!

Sorry Momma, but he said with his own mouth that if they want a nuke then why shouldn’t they have one, Israel has hundreds.

As backwards as that theory seems to me, can you tell me how he is not conservative? How is he not Tea Party?

Pro-life, small government, deficit cutting...

The only way Republicans can win is by nominating Ron Paul? Seriously?

Rasmussen poll out today puts Paul down 8 head to head against Obama. Both Gingrich and Romney are now positive against Obama.

So what’s your point? You think Iran is ready to BE nuked?

While I don’t like the idea of them having a nuke, North Korea already has one. As does Pakistan.

Although it may seem contradictory, nuclear weaponry is the greatest assurance of peace in history.

Why shouldn’t dope smoking be legalized? Why aren’t we open to new revenue streams?

colorado tanker says: Nominating Ron Paul is just about the only way Republicans could blow this election.

Bokababe says:
Actually, quite the opposite. It's about the only way that Republicans can win it.

Ron Paul doesn’t believe in “incorporation of the Bill of Rights”.

Paul opposed the McDonald v Chicago decision:

http://lonelymachines.org/2009/12/07/still-a-ron-paul-fan/

And supported the Kelo decision:

Most people don’t this. If they did, I think his support would collapse.

The point is, what you said was not true. I corrected you and you change the subject.

Right on.
Give me a break;
Just watch the flash-mobs on every FreeRepublic thread about Dr Paul, most of them are posted by themselves.
They are desperate to try to bludgeon the Republicans here.
They most likely have never voted Republican in their lives.

Yeah, a little progress in the mid-term, but at the Presidential level, Obama won by Iowa by almost 10%. Yeah, I know that McCain was a weak candidate, but that much of a margin looks pretty blue to me.

And please understand I mean no disrespect to you, or to Iowans in general. I'm just questioning the process.
