Bingo on your thought about Romney being a divider. My thoughts exactly.

5% ideas. 95% attack fellow republicans. And I use that term 'fellow' quite loosely.

Most of these candidates don't seem to be able to fight their way out of a paper bag. At least Newt can effectively explain the error of Obama’s policies.

He has the knowledge, and experience to accomplish what needs to be done. Do I trust him? Not really, but I don't trust the others either.

If Newt wins the primaries, I will vote for him and look forward to seeing him mop the floor with Obama, while taking the presstitutes to task also.

My Newtonian Take:

Romney: Pretty Chameleon

Perry: Illiterate Bumpkin

Bachmann: Grating Church Lady

Santorum: Gomer

Ron Paul: Psychopath

Newt: Gem in Rough

Romney has just reminded me of why the 2008 campaign was so bitterly divisive.

He was just as nasty then as he is now.

True. Unfortunately, there's some of that same attitude among some of us here. I was a Bachmann supporter, and was instantly labeled by some FReepers as a "Bachmann-bot, moron, idiot..."

Imagine if Palin were running; how many FReepers would be called "Palin-bots?"

I believe that there are liberals trolling FR who stir the pot by encouraging infighting. The name calling is unacceptable.

Why is Romney running as a Republican - why did he ever run as one? He’s in the wrong party. Someone should tell him. Poor fella doesn’t know where he belongs.

I urge everyone to go to Newt’s website and make a donation. I did that today and will keep it up until he becomes president. I want Hussein our of the White House and want it fumigated before Newt moves in.

Didn’t he once work with Seymour Buttes, and that other guy Hertz?

My question is, why is Democrat Bill Clinton (husband of Hillary) supporting Newt's campaign for the White House?

And a follow-up: Why is the DNC paying for Newt's best advertising?

Romney offers a remarkably telling self-portrait there:

Asked whether he had to win Iowa or New Hampshire or other early states, he demurred. "I don’t have to win anything other than 1,150 delegates."

IOW, I don't need their hearts and minds or even a popular majority. Give me 1150 delegates and the people can suck wind on a car roof.

Mitt uses the same tactics in his campaigns as the ones used by him in business dealings...destroy the target company, throw thousands out of a job and then boast of his prowess as he invents a new company and banks the dough...less the 10% to the mormon church.

He is as narcissistic and power-mad as Obama and his supporters won't believe their lying eyes.

Funny you should link to the Examiner.

Editorial: Romney is GOP's best choice

"In a race against Obama, we believe Romney will make a compelling case that he would be a strong and successful president."
