I'm not opposed to so-called "green" designs for buildings, as long as they're not legislated. Saving energy can also save money, except that we are now caught in a dishonest web where saving energy results in utilities asking for and getting rate hikes to make up for lower energy sales.

No money saved. Nice government scam we've let happen.

IIRC, the University of Michigan used to have some full-size “green” home experiment and it all fell apart and cost an arm and a leg.

I’m betting the author of this piece has a vested monetary business interest in the gubmint forcing these green standards on municiple buildings.
