hmm....speaking of football, looks like this thread somehow intercepted your post intended for another thread
“And this poll being blasted in headlines at Drudge. Despicable.”
Ditto.
“Problems:
1) Perry can’t remember which things should be small. Moreover, he can’t string two nouns and verb together. I’m sorry, but we need an President who can articulate conservatism.
2) Bachmann comes across as the naggy ex-wife that none of us would ever want. And she attacks people on her own side. That won’t work.
3) Santorum, while likeable, has no chance.
4) You are correct on Milt.
5) Ron Paul is about to snatched up by aliens at any moment.
6) Newt has fallen off the conservative wagon a time or two, but he’s the best we have. And he has at least acknowledged his mistakes. I’ll take that. “
I agree with everything you say, except that Santorum is likeable.
Have posted this link on a couple of threads - ENJOY!
NO EYEBROWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That’s right. Newt is marginally less liberal than Romney, an open socialist who advocates socialized medicine to this day, and he is willing to play hardball with Obama and the media.
I have no particular love for Newt, or any at all, really; it’s just a matter of making sure that Romney doesn’t win. I’d love to see someone else take Newt’s place, but barring a miracle, there isn’t enough time.
If Romney’s candidacy is successful and our choice in 2012 becomes Socialist R or Socialist D, our republic will be over before the first vote is cast.
Oops. Darn iPad.
Nice.
you know what I chuckle about (aside from triple-billing patients while forgetting to apply Novocaine)? All those folks who walked out on Newt because he took off for a week to celebrate his anniversary with his wife, saying that such a move meant he would fade away. They must feel pretty dumb about now.
“Perry, Santorum and Bachmann believe in smaller less powerful government.”
Where is the Tea Party? Were they more conservative in 2010? Have more moderates signed up?
4 years go Giuliani and Huckabee were the two front runners, so anything can happen.
Gingrich is down nearly 40% in the last 3 days at Intrade.
Romney holds steady at revolting 77% of the party.
“Newt is the only one of those you mentioned that actually HAS reduced the size and scope of government.”
Bingo.....and that’s why he gets my vote.
