Yes - don’t you know - we’ve all been “drinking the Republican kool-aid” if we don’t agree with Ron Paul’s suicide-pact foreign policy.

Perry, Santorum and Bachmann believe in smaller less powerful government.

Newt and Mitt believe in more government.

Newt believes FDR was the greatest president the country has known.

Wasn’t it Karl Rove that informed us a couple of weeks ago that it was really a 24% to 24% race or so and that the 33% poll he was showing on his white board was an outlier? Well the only outLIAR that night on Greta was Karl Rove himself trying desperately to save his guy Romney. It didn’t work did it Karl?

It has been great fun watching Tebow but I think there is going be a big bump in the road of his dream season next Sunday. Tom Brady vs. Tim Tebow. I’ll take Brady.

But I’ll be pulling for Denver. How could you not?

Get back to me when one of those three closes in on Newt across the board and I’ll kick him like a bad habit.

Until then, he’s our only alternative to Willard Romney, who signed socialized medicine into law and defends it to this day and doesn’t care if other states follow suit.

No matter how disgusting Newt’s personal life is, no matter how many mistakes he made, he’s still the better choice.

Newt is slowly fading. Perry and Bachman are slowly rising, but not fast enough to get a conservative candidate with 3 weeks to go. Mitt and Paul are not moving and won’t.

What is happening is what I predicted as early as the summer. The anti-Mitt vote is going to be split so many times, Mitt is going to walk away winning with 25%.

If Newt is to win, he NEEDS to hold onto Iowa or he will have no momentum to carry SC.

If Perry is to win, he has to finish 2nd at worst in Iowa behing Newt (neither Ron Paul or Mitt can win Iowa). In this scenerio, he can probably stay in long enough to pick up enough of Newt’s eroding support to make a play in SC.

If Paul or Mitt win Iowa, it is over. Romney waltzes.

Newt is the only one of those you mentioned that actually HAS reduced the size and scope of government.

The only polls I am interested in right now are Iowa and SC. I am under the assumption Mitt will win NH as Newt was still behind him at his peak. If there is still a race going on in June, I’ll be interested in the California numbers. Historically, however, the race is decided in SC and it comes down to the winner of Iowa vs. the winner of NH. The only way I can see it dragging out is if Newt wins Iowa, then plummets and the non-Romney votes shift back to Perry.

It's just the media, using every device available to cause disruption among early pubbie voters.

When they can't find a poll that fits their mold, the will just make one up.

The msm is FUBAR.

Newt's personal life doesn't bother me at all. It's ironic that the media is able to make it into something when they adore the foibles of Clinton and Kennedy.

Newt is the hands down head of the class on history and policy and he'd naturally get my vote over Obama. But, he has some troubling quirks that will continue to bother me. His chameleon tendencies like the Nancy Pelosi love fest and his progressive attitude toward bigger and 'better' government are concerns that won't go away.

Wrong again......;

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2815463/posts

And you are exaggerating the claim that Newt thinks FDR is the greatest President.

The only polls I am interested in right now are Iowa and SC.

Check history.

Iowa is for the newsies and the noobies.

South Carolina is a real indicator for the pubbie candidate.

Every cycle, since there is nothing else to do, the pundits talk and squawk about Iowa, but this minor state with its couple of electoral college vote, is only as important as an early poll, when it's all said and done, it means very, very, very, very little.

Sorry about that to those that live in Iowa, but in reality, compared to South Carolina you are half the voting size and compared to Florida, Iowa is a fading blip six times smaller.

Within three weeks of the hawkeye cauci, the Florida vote will make everyone forget about Iowa.

The proof is, how many candidates return to Iowa in the general election?

Iowa is the airspace over which they empty their 737 commodes.

Don't want to be overly brutal, but if you live there, you know it's true.

I don’t disagree, but winning Iowa or NH puts you in the running in SC, who ultimately decides it.

Has anyone won SC without winning either Iowa or New Hampshire?

Did you know that marketing research can determine whether you are a conservative or a liberal by your purchasing and TV viewing patterns? They also can with great accuracy predict your political leanings by your zip code. Also, telephone number lists are generally sold by demographic, income, zip code, race, voting patterns, etc.

So when you see a public released political poll like all those mentioned this early in a major political race; in addition to number polled and likely voters - also ask yourself what information is provided to determine the lists used to select the zip code and demographics to interview for the “poll;” what is the assurance of quality of the interviewers; the time of day the calls occurred; who paid for the poll; do they have a known agenda; what were the total questions asked, etc? Without this information the polls are only saying whatever whomever is paying for them want them to say.

And yes, there are millions of rea$on$ to lie and make up multiple “polls” to manipulate people. If you think its not possible to do this kind of manipulation on a large scale, please see the push manipulation for AGW as just one of the better known examples.

Nevertheless, we all saw the outpouring of volunteers and individual cash donations for Palin and Cain. That is hard to fake. If The 2 alleged front runners are doing so well where are the similar individual efforts to support them?

The way the game is played is to set it up so the ones people like are always downplayed and the people have to chose to vote for a lesser evil to prevent a worse evil from winning. It’s very effective.

Yes, the polls do look close to accurate in the end. That’s because of the self fulfilling prophecy and the power of manipulation by the professionals. People are easy to herd when its marketed properly...

I'm not trying to exaggerate Newt's claims about FDR. I like most of what he says and want like hell to trust him. But, his fondness for more government bothers me, not to mention the fact that he apparently supported cap and trade in his commercials with Pelosi. If someone can keep him in check, I think he'd be great. He's an idea guy, I like that part.

AND, the despicable Faux News ran with this garbage all day yesterday.

I have long held that while Faux news is not perfect, they remained the best we have. NOT anymore. That collection of Romney loving bastards don’t give one hoot about the future of our country.
