Perry, Santorum and Bachmann believe in smaller less powerful government.

Newt and Mitt believe in more government.

Newt believes FDR was the greatest president the country has known.

Get back to me when one of those three closes in on Newt across the board and I’ll kick him like a bad habit.

Until then, he’s our only alternative to Willard Romney, who signed socialized medicine into law and defends it to this day and doesn’t care if other states follow suit.

No matter how disgusting Newt’s personal life is, no matter how many mistakes he made, he’s still the better choice.

Newt is the only one of those you mentioned that actually HAS reduced the size and scope of government.

And you are exaggerating the claim that Newt thinks FDR is the greatest President.

"Perry, Santorum and Bachmann believe in smaller less powerful government. Newt and Mitt believe in more government."

Problems:

1) Perry can't remember which things should be small. Moreover, he can't string two nouns and verb together. I'm sorry, but we need an President who can articulate conservatism.

2) Bachmann comes across as the naggy ex-wife that none of us would ever want. And she attacks people on her own side. That won't work.

3) Santorum, while likeable, has no chance.

4) You are correct on Milt.

5) Ron Paul is about to snatched up by aliens at any moment.

6) Newt has fallen off the conservative wagon a time or two, but he's the best we have. And he has at least acknowledged his mistakes. I'll take that.

Perry, Santorum and Bachmann believe in smaller less powerful government.

I see you left Ron Paul off that list.

One of Newt's frequent talking points is being "with him" nor "for him" because he'll need help getting things done, he also says, "If we're going to apply the 10th amendment and shrink the federal government we need to grow citizenship back home."

Is that not smaller gov't less powerful federal gov't? Of course it is but it doesn't fit your strawman fantasy of Newt as a big government totalitarian progressive.

“Perry, Santorum and Bachmann believe in smaller less powerful government.”

Where is the Tea Party? Were they more conservative in 2010? Have more moderates signed up?
