SAN FRANCISCO -- Gov. Jerry Brown railed this morning against politicians who doubt climate change, calling "political lemmings" the chief obstacle in combating global warming.
"The main thing we have to deal with in climate change is the skepticism, the denial and the cult-like behavior of the political lemmings that would take us over the cliff," Brown said at a high-profile conference on climate change at the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco.
The Democratic governor said climate change has lengthened the state's fire season and quickened its snowmelt, affecting agriculture and taxing public infrastructure.
He acknowledged that Californians have been "squeezed" by the flagging economy, but he said investment is necessary . . .

Moonbeam Brown was a dumbA$$ in the seventies and, unlike a fine wine, has not improved with age.
His solution to the freeway congestion back then was promoting a lower population in California by blocking additional lanes/routes, because it was OBVIOUS to him that “..if we DON’T build them ,they won’t come”. That worked REAL well and we are STILL paying the price for THAT particular stupidity.
Now, his moronic followers are trumpeting his drop in the bucket attempts to rein in the very public employee pension that HE personally set on fire during his last reign.
It doesn’t matter what new evidence of crooked data used by the warmists is revealed, the opportunity to expand control is WAY too golden for the likes of the Browns, Schwartzentraitor, Peolsi, Reid, Ob, et al to pass up.
Maybe this is part of the new leftist doublespeak.
For example, when leftists propose a wildly radical change, with untested and unproven, or even disproved socialist ideas, they bitterly accuse those who are *opposed* to their radical change as being “radicals”. With expressions such as “radical conservatives”, a ridiculous oxymoron.
So what Jerry Brown has done is to call those who *don’t* want to act like lemmings, jumping off the cliff with expensive, and generally worthless, radical environmentalist ideas, “lemmings”, as if by *not* being a radical, it somehow makes them “radical”.
But liberals have long seemed very confused about such things, calling radical socialist agitators advocating violence, “moderate activists”, and things like that.

As a professional scientist, I recall learning that it is the very best part of the scientific method that hypotheses are developed by unbiased and careful observation, then rigorously tested; and, further testing is always welcome (and invited).
Polical correctness for what arguably does not qualify as an hypothesis is the precise opposite of the scientific method.
I'm embarrased that so many of my fellow "scientists" (and others who should know better) are unwilling to be professional regarding this critical topic
