Fast and Furious IS a gun control effort. The whole thing started when the hildabeast began flapping her jowls about the percentage of weapons,in Mexico that originated in the USA. From there; she, maobama and holder decided to make good on her bogus claim. They launched F&F

Now, newly revealed emails suggest that if the gun-running operation didn't start out with that intent, as administration officials insist, the program certainly led to discussions on new gun regulations.

Suggest it? Don't the e-mails literally say it?

On July 14, 2010, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Assistant Director Mark Chait asked then-ATF Phoenix Special Agent in Charge Bill Newell "if these guns were all purchased from the same (licensed gun dealer) and at one time. We are looking at anecdotal cases to support a demand letter on long-gun multiple sales."

On Jan. 4, 2011, Newell apparently saw the opportunity to publicly push for the new gun regulation. The Fast and Furious news conference provides "another time to address multiple sale on long guns issue," he wrote Chait.

A day after that news conference, Chait replied in an email: "Bill -- well done yesterday ... in light of our request for demand letter 3, this case could be a strong supporting factor if we can determine how many multiple sales of long guns occurred during the course of this case."

The 0baMao administration has already imposed new regulations, without the authority to do so, based on F&F guns.

ATF's 'fast and furious' pushes DOJ to skirt Congress to crack down on gun sales

As witnessed last week, the Department of Justice issued some harsh medicine for firearm dealers in California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. These dealers will soon be required to report multiple sales of long guns.

Last week, the Justice Department announced it will move forward with a new reporting system despite its lack of authority to create legislation without Congress.

The NRA also points out that the ill-conceived and ill-fated “Fast and Furious” program encouraged Arizona gun dealers to sell thousands of guns to suspicious buyers, despite documented objections from dealers and ATF agents alike.

There’s never been any doubt regarding President Obama’s “anti-gun”, agenda or history. He served on the board of the Joyce Foundation; a most virulent anti-personal arms organization. Its apparent he regards his “oath of office” as segmented and subject intrepretation and/or his ignoring inconvenient aspects.

Hence, there’s “no doubt” in my mind the OA took advantage of an established, ( but terminated as “ineffective” by no less than Phoenix BATF SAC Newell ), Bush era sting op. It saw this program as the means to support the President’s, (hasty and inaccurate) “90% claim” circa Feb. 2009. And, as subsequent events have revealed, multiple levels of AFT, (and others in DOJ) used the “discoveries” of this program as justification for “Demand Letter Three” ! >PS
