SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Administrators at a Utah middle school outed a gay teenage boy to his parents because they feared he would be bullied, but the move has outraged civil rights groups that claim the student's privacy was violated.
Alpine School District took the unusual step after the 14-year-old boy, whose name has not been released, created an advertisement about himself and his sexual orientation during a class project.

See the problem....schools and the web are causing the problem and the gay life itself. These kids don’t know if they’re gay...they’ve likely been preyed upon and are now all screwed up......that’s the problem...

Unusual? The kid is ADVERTISING himself, for crying out loud?
The school had every right to tell the parents their child is acting out in perverted ways and is likely the target of a bully.
And then the parents could counsel the poor kid and (likely) find out who has been buggering the poor kid.
I wonder if taxpayer dollars are financing this action.
And the schools are in effect saying, “it’s ok” to any kid that may be confused about his sexuality. Then the kid gets bullied? Big surprise there, huh?
Not agreeing with the bullies here, it’s just that teenage kids are huge conformists.
Look at the story. Down on the right, there’s a photo and a link to gay marriage. Wonder why those gals are homosexual.
That's what I said when I read that about the kid. He told people at the school that he was a homosexual but he didn't want his parents to know? Huh?! Did it ever occur to him that they could have found out from another student instead of the school? How is this the school's fault?
*smh and throwing my hands up in confusion* I simply don't get this story at all. I tried to read it as the crAP site but all that other pro-homo garbage they had there was getting on my last nerve, especially since I haven't eaten yet!
It’s just more muscle-flexing by the Gay/Lesbian groups. They see an easy mark in this school district and they take it down. It doesn’t have to be logical. As long as they can portray the “gay teen” as a victim — no matter how incredible — they are going to get mileage out of it.
Lawyer win-win. Protect the kid by informing his parents, and it’s a “violation of his rights”. Keep quiet and let him get beat up, and it’s “negligence”.
Don’t gay groups “out” people all the time? They do it to people they don’t like, for some reason.
Whoa. Hit every branch. Sad.
we need to separate schools and sex. Like in NYC where they might as well assign sex as homework with the perverted mandated course they use now.
Yes. It is all from Cultural Marxism—kids against parents. State wants control of your kids and that state is pumping them with lies about sex—Sex Ed was designed to destroy morality, and confuse children.
Latency period is when boys like boys and girls, girls (Freud) and they want to sexualize that stage to convince boys they are gay so the Penn State coaches and the Producers who raped the Corey’s will have many more pretty boys willing.
Got to corrupt them early and confuse them—lie to them. Teach them up is down so they will do despicable things to their body and think it is “love” and “good”.
School has classes these days that start with “Don’t tell your parents” usually followed by the teaching of sexual perversion
dragged though the whole dammed forest
There no longer is “in” . There is no longer “out”
One is either queer or not queer. It is no longer necessary to be in the closet because queer self esteem will not permit it.
There can be no outrage. Outrage can not be justified.
Yes, they do, particularly political opponents they want to destroy. That will tell you more about how they really feel about being gay than any sanctimonious civil rights posturing they use to smokescreen it.
