I think the end goal is for government to confiscate all money as we earn it, then turn around and provide for our needs as government sees fit. So what if you want a nice 3 bedroom home with a yard in the suburbs--the government will provide you with a cramped 2 bedroom apartment with a window box in the city. It's for your own good, of course; you really will be happier living like that.
