Everything I've read on that point has claimed the Bush administration tracked the guns and seized them before they crossed the border.

They passed the information along to the Mexican cops, who were supposed to seize the guns AFTER they crossed the border, but somehow *cough*onthetake*cough* the Mexican cops could never quite reach the gun runners in time.

So the program was shut down.

I wish they wouldn’t call this Obama’s Watergate for the simple reason that it is FAR WORSE THAN WATERGATE! This makes Watergate look like a disagreement among children.

We will see whether the result is anything like his resignation but what has happened is vastly worse than Watergate. Something actually comparable to Watergate wouldn’t even make the headlines now. Things much worse than Watergate in reality are happening every day now.
