I’m not saying they’re the bad guy. I just stated, properly, they did not help themselves with the attempted budget maneuver. It’s never a good thing to put the MB in a postion where they can be viewed as reasonable and with the people on an issue.
I don’t disagree with that in theory, but I’m not sure what the military’s options were.
If they agree to see their funding reduced, they could be agreeing to see an alternate military body set up and in time replace them.
Of course it would be more complicated and take some time, but something like that would be the eventuality IMO.
