WASHINGTON – The House has passed a $1 trillion-plus catchall budget bill paying for day-to-day budgets of 10 Cabinet departments and averting a government shutdown.

The 296-121 vote to approve the measure represented a rare moment of bipartisanship in a polarized Capitol. Lawmakers are also seeking compromise on separate legislation to renew jobless benefits and a cut in payroll taxes.

The bill trims most domestic agencies and awards the Pentagon the smallest budget hike in recent memory.

Good thing they’re being fiscally careful.

The bill trims most domestic agencies

Think this ever would have happened under Pelosi?

The bill trims most domestic agencies ...

So, it keeps Porkulus in the baseline and raises overall spending 5% instead of 6%. This runaway spending must stop.

” ... averting a government shutdown.”

They say that like it’s a bad thing.

“The bill trims most domestic agencies”

I agree things would be worse under Pelosi, but would you mind telling me one domestic agency that will be spending less in 2012 than it did in 2011?

Funny how the Republicans finally decide to play ball with the Dems on the only thing that really matters to them - the continuing fleecing of us sheep and the resulting preservation of their own wealth and power. The NDAA is another example.

Folks, the Republicans and Democrats are simply two sides of the same coin. They are working hand-in-hand and playing all of us with divisive socio-political issues - religion, abortion, guns, gay rights, social programs, etc.

You are fooling yourselves if you think things will be any better at all under either Newt or Mitt than we are with Obama. There is functionally no difference.

The only thing that matters is that government stop spending more than they take in with current taxes, right now, period. And this will never happen with the rotten-to-the-core government and handout society we have allowed to grow over the past 40 years.

First step...slowing growth.

Looks like ALL the Republicans who were there voted for it.

NO Tea Party holdouts. (Must be better than I thought!)

I used to think that if Tea Party candidates won, we’d see less spending. Nope. Pelosi’s congress cut spending in 2010 from 2009 but the Republicans have more than made up for those cuts in 2011 and 2012.

I used to think that if we defaulted at least we’d start from scratch and the entitlement and welfare crowds would have to take their cuts. Nope. Europe is defaulting and we’ve seen all the welfare states grow in power while wealth is destroyed.

I’m like the proverbial frog in the pot watching the politicians argue over the best way to increase the temperature of the water.

As far as I know...We are (officially) less than 100 billion from the latest debt limit. Gonna be hard to spend that trillion.

Maybe this wouldn’t be necessary if Obama would stop pouring billions down Muzzie sh*t holes
The average American hasn’t a clue how much of our tax money Obama has sent down Muslim sh*t holes while he threatens to cut medicare and withold senior’s social security checks!

BILLIONS FOR JIHAD!

Obamas 2009 Supplemental Appropriations for Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Pandemic Flu was revised and passed by the full committee.
It gives billions http://creepingsharia.wordpress.com/2009/05/1...
of U.S. taxpayer dollars to countries and entities that support Sharia law and/or harbor, hide and support those who want to destroy the U.S. and our allies.
Read the summary from David Obeys office that was quietly released last week with nary a word from any media.

$3.6 billion, matching the request, to expand and improve capabilities of the Afghan security forces

$400 million, as requested, to build the counterinsurgency capabilities of the Pakistani security forces

Peacekeeping:$837 million for United Nations
peacekeeping operations, including an expanded mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and a new mission in Chad and the Central African Republic

Department of Justice:$17 million, matching the request, for counter-terrorism activities and to provide training and assistance for the Iraqi criminal justice system
Obama gives your tax dollars to rebuild Muslim mosques around the world
http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/... #

ACCORDING TO THE ASSOCIATED PRESS, THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION WILL GIVE AWAY NEARLY $6 MILLION OF AMERICAN TAX DOLLARS TO RESTORE 63 HISTORIC AND CULTURAL SITES, INCLUDING ISLAMIC MOSQUES AND MINARETS, IN 55 NATIONS. See the State Department document here.

And THAT’S just the tip of the iceberg.
THIS will blow your mind!!

They should have 2010 up, but they don’t. That’s where you’ll find Obama’s largesse towards Muslim countries really go off the charts.

One trillion dollars and they couldn’t manage to cover the jobless benefits with that? The country would be better off if they shut down. They haven’t earned their paycheck.

Sorry, but this is Republican partisan rubbish.

It is impossible for the President to spend money without bills passed by the House.

Who controls the House again? Sorry but Republicans are every bit as much to blame for this economic disaster as Obama. Dens and Republicans are playing for the same team againt a common opponent - us..
