The seal contains a hammer and plow. Is a plow different from a sickle?

Does the seal hide communist symbolism? Is that basic at the root symbolism going to get Scott recalled?

Those symbols stand for farming, manufacturing, fishing and mining...all prominent in Wisconsin history.

That is the silliest comment I’ve ever read, bert. INDUSTRY. The seal stands for historic industries that made Wisconsin prosperous. Gorush has it right.

A plow breaks ground so the farmer can plant seed. A sicle reaps what the farmer has sown. Do you see a difference?
