Tea Party might as well admit defeat also if it supports the big-govt, big-spending, career politician that is Newt Gingrich. Oh yeah he defended Romney care, and thinks free speech should be curtailed if it helps in the fight against terrorism. The left loves this, the true conservatives are either out of the race or so far down they might as well be out i.e. Bachmann, Palin , Santorum and Cain. Soros and company love how they think people are actually making a choice when it comes to the election, your just voting for the current progressive or a new one. This election has been fixed since day one.
So....we sit out the election if MR is the nominee? I’m all in..I can’t stand Romney...he fully support Paul Tsongas for president. I know...he’s a RINO. But...if he’s the nominee....we sit out? And don’t tell me there is no dif. between MR and BHO. At least we know MR would grant immediate waivers to all States...killing obamacare...right? So.....we sit out if MR is the nominee?
AMEN, JIM!!!! Anyone who tells me I should “hold my nose and vote” can go pound sand!
Your bigotry is crowding out your frontal lobe.
Don't be a sheep and wait for someone to tell you who to vote for, make up your own mind. Sheesh
Bu, but, its Mitts turn, darn it!!
My daughters boyfriend, who is an east coast liberal, sad to say, at least speaks the truth about Romney.
“That guy (Romney) will say ANYTHING to get elected.”
I’ve read all of Jim’s backgrounders on Romney and I’ve seen most of what is repeatedly posted about Romney. Despite that he’s easily to the right of Obama and I don’t believe for a second that he hates America or sees his country as a global threat in need of toppling. That is I don’t accept the premise that Romney is worse than Obama.
You can follow your own conscience, but not voting for Obama is my goal in the Presidential race. All in all holding the Congress for 40 years is what it will take and where the real action is.
Newt hasn’t convinced me, yet. Newt is an idea guy and he flutters around too much, can’t control himself above or below the waist. I don’t trust Newt and suspect that all the enthusiasm behind him is simply the anti-Romney vote. Bigots simply will never vote for Romney ever, but imagine for a moment that Romney is the nominee. What can we do?
Politicians pay the piper. What if Jim R. approached Romney and said, “Look I don’t trust you a whit, now show me in writing executive decisions 100% in the President’s power that you will institute in your first 100 days? Show me why I should help you defeat Obama.”
Romney lays it out, in writing and as part of his General Election Platform and FR, preferring the defeat of Obama, supports him. Now three things can happen:
1. Romney wins honors his pledge and keeps his promises.
2. Romney wins and disregards his pledge and governs ala GHW Bush/Gerald Ford/Richard Nixon, typical GOP elite.
3. Romney loses.
Two out of three of those possible scenarios America and conservatism are better off, particularly with control of Congress. You can ascribe any percent likelihood to the above. That’s logical and that’s how I will vote. In the short term, living in IL, I have to wait until late March 20 to vote my conscience.
Who is this Mitt Romney person you speak off?
REVOLUTION!

BAYONETS!
Newt has said he’d like this guy for his VP = no one could beat this ticket...and this guy is open to it

This ticket would light America on fire...
I too am in for Newt, but I didn’t think he had a chance at first. Then Sarah Palin chose not to run. Newt’s message and conservatism should resonate within tea party. What he must overcome is four fold:
First and foremost, is to find a way to get the hyper self-righteous off his back.
Second and just as important, is to get the tea partiers to become the eyes at the voting locations. I believe their will be a huge crossover vote for Mitt from the demoncrats, both legal (like in Minnesota) and illegal in other states. This must not be allowed to sway the outcome.
Third, Newt hopefully has disclosed all of the pertinent information regarding his freddie and fannie ties.
Finally, Newt must find a different photo that can wipe out the memory of the one with the former female house speaker (I can’t even write her name). Even though he has recanted from that stupid move, it still bugs many conservatives.
ABO.
Around here I see it’s ABR.
I will not support Newt in the primaries. IF he takes the RINO nomination - I will hold my nose and vote for him. Just like I did for McCain.
But I wonder what the mood of this site will be like when Mitt Romney is the GOP candidate? Speaking for myself.. I’ll be more OK with that than when MCain was the choice in 2008.
Godspeed Jim.
We don’t need no stinkin’ MITTens. We have our TEA to keep us warm.
“Herman Cain may sue accusers
SWEET! Not that one can get blood out of turnips, but maybe against any future earnings? Maybe doing community service?
This Nation’s Democrats have been taken over by the International Socialists and with the willing connivance of Soetoro/Obama and his companions put us hell-bent on the road to communism. The Nation’s Republicans seem to have joined that direction, as I see little difference beyond timing of their eventual goals. We are sheep to be shorn, and they are all the wolves in our midst. If the Tea Party gets co-opted then the only recovery for our Constitutional recovery will be another revolution or civil war, and the destruction of all we hold dear.
We either fight and win civilly now - or we will have to fight militarily later. We - the American People - have a choice. God help us achieve the first to preclude the latter.
Thank you Jim.
How unpatriotic. /s
