We know folks who've gone to the parade for several decades. Over the years there've been times when security has been less than adequate ~ so they take stuff that enables them to redress grievances, and that's not always firearms.

I doubt the "Occupy....." crowd has fully considered what a disruption might cost them.

Great opportunity for anti-occupy folks in the L.A. area. Just bring lots of rotten tomatoes and rotten eggs (or even not rotten ones) with you to the parade and hang around until, you know, the “Occupy” portion of the parade, and then, you know, directly express your feelings about the .000000000001%!
