‘60 Minutes’ Edits Out Obama‘s Claim That He’s the Fourth Best President
AP ^ | Sun, Dec 18, 2011

President Barack Obama sat for an extensive interview with CBS’s “60 Minutes” last week, though it appears the portion of the interview actually broadcast on TV left out a statement where Obama essentially declared himself the fourth best president in terms of his accomplishments.

The statement was only made available online as part of the full interview on “60 Minutes Overtime.”

According to a transcript posted on the “60 Minutes” website, Obama said he would hold his accomplishments so far as president against those of Lyndon B. Johnson, Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln.

“I would put our legislative and foreign policy accomplishments in our first two years against any president — with the possible exceptions of Johnson, F.D.R., and Lincoln — just in terms of what we’ve gotten done in modern history,”

Obama is nearly correct: If he left Honest Abe off his list, he would be correct. The policies of LBJ and FDR have nearly destroyed this country

That was my exact impression when I first heard his asinine statement!!!

If you mean "It was not his seed", I will grant you that but those children are his illegitimate spawn nonetheless. Their mothers were wooed with the promise of a check and his children reared on government commodities.

This outcome was predicted at the time and has since come to pass. It is ridiculous to expect women not to reproduce - only the threat of starvation will prevent it.

Just like the mediascum to pass up their most “newsworthy” item (imagine the hay they would make if a Bush had said that).

They would far rather miss the opportunity to report genuine newsworthy info (Obama’s crazed egomania in his own words) than to do anything that might “hurt the cause.”

They are ideologists first, and only interested in real news reporting a distant last.

You had me thinking about what a major story it was when Bush couldn't (or wouldn't) remember a single mistake he had made as president. David Gregory, who always reminded me of Lucy from the Peanuts, had a conniption over that one. At the time, I thought he should have said "apologizing to the Chinese after they knocked our plane down," but then Gregory, Thomas & co. would have blown up LexusNexus trying to recall what had happened.

Answer: They DEMANDED that he apologize to the Chinese, and then said it made him look weak when he listened to them.

I presume by Johnson, President Obama meant President Andrew Johnson. Surely he would not say stupid LBJ with his bimbos was better than him.

What I meant was that ultimately it was the choice of these women to sleep around and become pregnant.

Well my point was that he himself didn’t think his Presidency much of an accomplishment.

That being said he did, as President, lower taxes, reduce the Federal debt, and established our foreign policy of not paying off Muslim pirates, and did the Louisiana purchase. Not a bad record by any measure.

As to the Declaration - I think you can see from the following that the content and eloquence of the Declaration - one of his accomplishments that he did wish to take credit for - were entirely his. I reject your characterization that the majority of the great lines are not largely or entirely his.

He might possibly be fit to wipe Jimmy Carter’s a&&.

I know that's what toilet paper is for, but still, I would feel sorry for the inanimate object that is toilet paper manipulated by these two to get any job done, let alone the wiping of Jimmy Carter's a$$.

And that's no $hit.

"So you think this is near the END TIME ? just one more Potus and it’s all over?"

I meant by ranking since that is what he was talking about on 60 minutes.
